To the IMG Guildmasters.
Here at Freeport 10, we are always looking for ways to improve the prospects of the station and improve our relations with those around us. On behalf of Station Hall, I am contacting you because I believe we have found a way to facilitate both these aims.

During a stop-off in Liberty during a long-range convoy to Ames Research Station in Kepler, I stumbled across an old 'Dacite' class utility ship. It would need to be refurbished, towed back and painted in Zoner colours, but we believe it would still function at peak performance once we've made the necessary investments.

Now, we want to know if we would be able to use this ship in Tau 37's Malvinas Cloud to mine Niobium Ore for our pilots to transport. When it wasn't in use doing this, it would be used to mine water for the station's consumption (and more than likely yours too, given the fact we sell you a lot of your bases' essentials). This would of course cover the first goal, in that we would be expanding '10s prospects. Now how we can strengthen ties between ourselves and the Guild.

Speaking with one of your pilots in space we have come to realise that time is money, and company is sanity. An extra set of lasers would enable single-Guildsman operations to proceed almost twice as fast, and in a system largely flooded with Outcasts, decreasing the vulnerable period of time spent actually mining can only be a good thing. I must stress however, that the ship in question would not partake in hostilities should a situation occur. A little fresh company would also help to alleviate the symptoms of 'cabin fever' that many miners and long-range transport crews exhibit.

The Dacite in question, should you permit its use in the Malvinas Cloud, would be available for hire in your operations, for a very reasonable fee. Should we get the green light, we'll forward the order for the ship back to Liberty, and I'll head off personally to tow it home.

Esteemed sirs, the ball is totally in your court regarding this matter.

I am not exactly certain what the nature of your request is in your communication, mister Lovecrepe. If it is a request to utilize the Dacite class ship, then go right ahead, it's a ship open to the general public. If you need some repair schematics for a damaged vessel of this class we can make those available. If it is to obtain additional fighter mining lasers, again, feel free to procure them from us.
If it is to mine in the Malvinas cloud, well... Realise that this will likely put you at odds with the Outcasts. Of late, they've resorted to destroying miners found there outright, instead of demanding fees. Unless you want them as your enemies, I'd not recommend any large-scale mining operations in Tau 37.

That said, if you feel you can exploit those resources, I see no reason why the IMG would deny you. But be careful out there. We've lost many good men in that cloud.

To Mr Sanders.
The request was merely to ensure that you would be okay with our active presence in your operational areas. I've heard stories about the Guild and other corporation driving off 'independent' miners, after all. It never hurts to ask, one might say, and shows a healthy dose of respect to the people you coexist alongside.

In any case, I'll forward the request to Liberty and have the ship towed home. I'm sure we'll find a way to deal with the Outcasts when the time comes to it.

Mr. Lovecrepe,

The only miners we will drive off are the ones that harass others, either by obnoxious behaviour or outright thievery/piracy. We will not stand to be bullied by anyone, be it an unaffiliated miner, pirates, or even house corporations. Occasions on which we have had to act are rare, we usually end up inviting independant miners with an interest in Niobium mining, into the guild. The house corporations are often more agressive in protecting their claims then we are (even towards us).
An exception exists towards BMM, they're driven off regardless of their intent, but per the Tau accords, no BMM miners should be left within the Tau systems anyway.
