Advanced Train doesn't want my Id...

Here's the story

Yesterday, I finally bought an advanced train. yey me! ok, well. I took my usuall load of (note telling), and headed out on my usuall route. I docked somewere on the way since I had to go (log off).
The next day I log on and take off. So while I'm on the trade lanes, I press on the f6's-8's since I have nothing else to do, and I notice my trader ID isn't equipped. I hurry to the closest station and equip it. The, I take off and continue on the way. Guess what? Again, it's not equipped. So now I knew something was up. I docked, equipped it, and just as I has about to take off, I decide to check. It was un-equipped. I equip it, close the window, and re-opn it. It was un-equipped.
This makes no sence, I equip my trader ID, but once I re-open my internal equipment window it shows it as un-equipped. I repeated a few time, and nothing.

Any ideas? I apologize if this has been brought up before, I couldn't find a similar thread. I doubt this is supposed to happen, might be a bug, I don't know, but it sucks not being able to use your trader.

You need to equip the ID when in the equipment dealer screen, it seems there is a bug that ejects it off of the equipped items. Try it when you are in the equipment dealer and it should work. This also applies to the Armour upgrades i think.

Heres what you do. Mount the ID, then switch to a different inventory tab, like your shield tab or whatever. unequip and reequip the shield. Now close the inventory window. Now bring it back up. If your ID is still not mounted, then try using a weapon instead of a shield. When you mount you dont hear the game make the same noises as when you mount a weapon or shield. Thats because there is no actual mounting point for things like scanners armor upgrades or IDs. you have to make the game re-update the loadout by mounting something that HAS a hardpoint, like a shield. Hope that helped!

Also, are you sure you only have 1 trader ID and not 2?

I only have 1 trader ID, those console messages make the rules quite clear.

Yep, had this problem before...definately gotta do it in the dealer screen to get it to work properly....that fixed the issue for me anyway

It isn't staying mounted because Freelancer isn't saving whats mounted. To get it to save, mount something else.
