Im flying a Liberty Gunboat
Have Merenary ID
Am allied with all lawful Liberty Fractions, Crosairs, Order, and Xenos
Im looking at the Ceberus Turret and The Order Gunboat turrets right now

My question, am i allowed to buy them and use them because i prefer to ask ands not get into trouble using them?

there are basicly 3 major factions:

- official house factions
- corsair side
- outcast side

as a merc - you should primarily decide which of those 3 you choose to be, with a liberty gunboat - you ll be on the lawful side. before some of the sactions, it was a free for all for pretty much all capship turrets - but that has narrowed down now. so in your case its ... anything the houses provide you with, no order, no corsair, no outcast ( and ally ) stuff.
you could include IMG / GMG stuff - and thats about it. cerberus turrets are rheinland so you re good to go.

people sanctioned was so far for : BD missile turrets and Order equipment .. we don t have a list of weapons we must not use. so in your case - just stick to house weapons to be on the safe side.

You could also try to get Gunboat Solaris turrets. With their refire rate of 5.0, they do similar damage per second as Order turrets.

Each house is its own major faction.
there are 6, if you want to be like that,
but, even then, there are tonnes of parties who do not fit into that set.
Each house has very distinct diplomacy, and each one has its own criminals, not to mention the cross house criminals...

Case in point: if your Bretonian merc has Kusari stuff....get rid of it.

Liberty, Corsair, Order, and Xenos all at once? ... Umm, no? Pick one, and go with it. Either lawful or unlawful, after that, which side. Like you don't want to see a Bretonian Gunboat with Kusari Turrets or something in that order.

Just pick one.

its a merc - and a capship. the weapons aren t that much down to roleplay there. we had the discussion allready. a bounty hunter can have bretonian turrets aswell as kusari turrets. it is simply about those cases that people got sanctioned for. - which so far is the BD turret and an order turret.

unless i missed a rule saying that capital ship weapons must be roleplayed, too now - but then i d like to have a weaponlist that is admin blessed.

"bretonian merc" - you are the only bretonian mercs / privateers, i think. people are mercs to enjoy more freedom - unless he limits himself by roleplaying a strict bretonian merc, he is free to go with allmost anything. since his ID is generic - and gunboat is liberty... i don t see a single reason why he should not have bretonian gunturrets ( if he likes turrets 10 times the size of any other turret ) and kusari missile launchers. its not out of roleplay at all.

my Roleplay for this character is to help anyone in need, travel Sirius in some thing that will protect me and escourt poeple on trade runs.
I choose Merc ID becasue i wanted some more freedom to do what i want, help who i want, collect bounties, and assist. thats why im allied with lawful and unlawfuls.
Im asking about the weapons because i need an upgrade to my gun turrets.

ill wait till i get some more replies beforee i go buy the turrets

A good setup for a Liberty gunboat is 2-3 cerbs and leave the rest stock liberty guns that come with the ship.

Well, I'd be careful playing as a Mercenary and try really hard to keep your roleplaying straight, for mercs have a bit of a bad reputation for flying around in any ship that's going with the uberest guns strapped on, annoying the folk that make a point of playing as real military pilots. Asking for advice is a good start, though:)

Both my mercs fly with the weapons their faction had before they became mercs, and maybe an occasional looted. IE: Sea Serpent, ex BH, flies with Buckshots and debilitators, as thats what he woulda used as a BH before he went and shot the Hunt-Leader...

Other one, ex-GMG, uses a couple of skyblasts and assorted kusari weapons, as thats whp he mostly works for now.

You've got the think: Where was this pilot trained? Where did he get his ship? Who does he usually work for? Who can he absolutley not work for, die to his past? Where did he get his guns and equipment? Attention to all of these will amke your merc-ing experience much more RP suitable, and generally not offend people. I ususally figure that a merc couldn't really get anything more than a VHF, maybe a bomber, as all other ships generally imply being in a faction with the ability to make them, and such factions would certainly shoot you if you ran off with their ship.
