This is a small patch that fixes location of jump gate in Alaska making it compatible with SP missions:

This patch should be applied over Discovery 4.78.2 version.

No need to download and install this if you are playing on server. This fix won't be applied on Discovery server, it is only for singleplayer needs.

Those who play Open SP also don't need it, cause the fix is only required for completing storyline, which is obviously lacking in Open SP.

The above link is bad. Is there some ware else I can get the Alaska patch from? Will this mess up a SP savegame I already started?

To play SP fine, you should get 4.79 beta... the patch doesn't fix it all.

And by the way I'll be most grateful if someone, maybe even you, tests out singleplayer from start to the beginning in the beta. I surely will find a special place for you in mod credits.

Well I could do that for you during one of the boring weekends at my dad's house where the fastest internet is dialup and the most technological item is a T.V. Its shouldn't take me more than a couple hours. How soon do you need this done?

Well... I'd prefer it to be done before release, in a week or so. But you may do it later if you can as well, if no one else will (I doubt that anyone is going to test SP here).

Yes, and i`m interested in doing that because i wanna see my skills in storyline after so much time....because i can compare with how i did last time or first time :P . Last time i finished the game in a Hawk armed with 2 X Pyros type 2 and 2 X Adv. Tarantula. They dealed enormous damage...Dab, try finishing the game in a Cavalier/Crusader :crazy: , with no othe r mods activated :P
