in the darkest days of New Berlin, a scientist named Van Hohenheim saw the radical change, in nomads. After that he personally saw them in the Edge Nebula, he began researching, using the lab that the Chancellor entrusted to him. His research lead him to Kansas, a system on the outskirts of Liberty. He successfully managed to intercept and follow a strange nomad ship that lead Van Hoheheim to an ancient gate, deep within the gloomy nebula of Kansas. When he approached the odd-looking jumpgate, he inadvertently activated it, thus jumping to an unknown system. The radiation within the newly discovered system was high and deadly, but after a while he managed to catch a glimpse of a station deep within the asteroid field of the system. The station was made of rock, pure asteroid rock, with some strange organic pillars. Van Hohenheim discovered the legend about the 'philosopher's stone' there. When he returned to his laboratory on New Berlin, he aknowledged several lab-apprentices about what he found in that abbandoned station. They are currently working under direct supervision of the leading Rheinland Military research department. Van Hohenheim sought to aquire any kind of nomad artifact that he could get his hands on, the Chancellor helped him greatly with the high budget that they've assigned him. After some extended research, and various theories, Van Hohenheim belives that by aquiring a rare, yet unknown nomad artifact, he will acheive immortality. But there is an issue, to acheive immortaliy with this artifact, labelled as a 'philosopher's stone' by Van Hohenheim, he will need to sacrifice a human life. Right now, they're activities are deemed illegal by the major House governments and corporations, but they seek to make a deal with the Chancellor. He performs strange, cruel experiments on unlucky souls, who are foolish enough to trust him..
