I am suprised not to find any topic related to this two awesome SW sequal:(

I played first one 4 years ago, liked it very much:)

The role-playing game from veteran developers Bioware is set in the Star Wars universe, but some 4,000 years before the events of the movies. Players get to use a lightsaber or two, train as a Jedi Knight and choose which path of The Force they want to follow: the honorable Light Side or the passionate Dark Side. The hybrid combat system combines turn-based and action elements into a totally new style of gameplay: slow enough to let players soak up the details of the story, but not bogged down by pointless quests or collection tasks. Most quests are optional, but the required missions are full of action and adventure so players are up to their lightsaber in fun.

graphic is very good and effects of fighting and force powers also

more details and info:

INFO

I have both parts, and passed then each 6 times, they are full of action and great story that follows game, more then 50+ hours of playing Storyline.

Your actions and responses in quests are taking into consideration on wich side you are on.

It is ranked number 7 from more then 115, 000 games

Only SP is availbale and few minor modifications to game:)

Approximately five years after the events of the original Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic , the Jedi, nearly brought to an end by the Sith, are on the brink of extinction. The galaxy is in turmoil and the Republic no longer has the strength to protect its worlds. Sith Assassins are hunting the one they believe to be the last of the Jedi, the one who holds the fate of the galaxy ... you. Bringing a new chapter to the Star Wars series, this sequel to the blockbuster RPG again delves into the saga's founding lore that was explored in the original. The Sith Lords features an all-new, more perilous storyline, new characters, classes, locations and force powers.

both where awsome games but as cleric said 2 was very rushed and unfinished

1 took lets see 4 years to make and complete 2 came out roughly a year MAYBE 2 if your very kucky after 1.

Obsidian utterly ruined the story imo, infact there where areas that where IN the game, nar shadaa i believe where the area was made etc infact was supposed to add to the story of what happened to revan if you came back with HK47. but because they where so rushed decided to put a permanentely locked door infront of it and said mecht thatl do. didnt even decide to delete the area from the map.

but yes gameplay alot more to it, such as armour and skills, story whys- the exile was a wussy compared to revan hehehe

the exact same as 2 bud

by better gameplay i just mean a little bit more movement in the fights (even though 1 had ground breaking combat for a RPG) 1st one i seen infact still is the only one i seen where the combatants ACTUALLY lock swords etc

few more force powers in 2 and the robes look better thats the only difference between the 2 essentialy the same game with more to it (other than story)

Having played both tremendously, I can say that Kotor I is better than Kotor II. But that is in many peoples opinion due to the rushed nature of the release. I cannot wait for Team Gizka to finish the Kotor II restoration.....Yum..

I played through 1 and liked it quite a bit, decided to pick up 2 and reinstall both and play through them.. But unfortunately Vista seriously dislikes these games and refuses to run them. Period.
No matter what I try, they're the only two games that I can't get running on Vista.
