Class 5 tropical cyclone will hit Queensland in less than 12 hours. Wave heights of 14m and wind speeds of 28
0 km/h are expected, and it'll be the strongest cyclone to hit Australia in historical time.
...Couldn't have much worse timing, I'd say.

Queensland seems to be taking a battering at the moment. Well... Here's hoping for the best. There's a friend of mine who lives in Townsville.

Meanwhile, quite a bit of NSW and Victoria are on fire from a heatwave. Oh Australian weather, you card.

I went to the beach the other day.

Yeah, there was a little bit more coming out of the Murray Mouth than usual.
Man was that unexpected!

It was also incredibly freaking hot.

I'm also moving to Canada, screw this ****.

Here's a good resource for anyone that's interested:
http://www.smh.com.au/environment/weather/...0202-1acsz.html
URL says it all, really. Cyclone Yasi Live blog from the SMH. It's updated
every time they've got any news about the cyclone.

The media have whiped up a nice bit of 'doom and gloom'.
eg. 'Nobody panic.... but you are all going to die.'

But we all seem to think we'll be ok. However, it be windy out.

Bah, medias, they make "magnificent" titles in the papers on other peoples bad luck/death, that gives them profit right now,

Does this cyclone have anything to do with the floods that have been occuring lately?
