As the topic says I'm here to say something about the Solaris Codename. Now don't get me wrong - its rate of fire syncs with my Reaper Mk V's perfectly. But its damage output is just...terrible. Worse than a Salamanca Mk II, in every aspect except it has 99 meters more range.
Now, I have been here since 4.82. In 4.82, it was a buyable Class 10 weapon with exceptional range and damage combined with the 8.33 rate of fire. I'm not saying revert it back to the Chain Gun Solaris, but take some of the old weapon's stats and put it on them. Like the 8.33 rate of fire for example and the damage it did (which I was recall was 295) and the energy use (which was 85 if I'm not mistaken, either). This would make it superior to the best laser cannon out there, the Sammael, which does 265 damage with 72 power use per shot. Velocity should still be 600 m/s, and range should remain 699 meters.
This would make the codename less energy efficient but the fastest firing one out there (I know it is already, but come on, it's only a step up from 3.03).
Any other suggestions on how to rebalance this weapon? I love it to death and I've had them since they were the Chain Gun Solaris.
The only thing i would change is the refire rate from 4.00 to 5.00. So it would deal 25 % more damage per second. The GB Solaris also has refire rate of 5.00.
I also loved the SOLARIS and still have it mounted on several of my fighters, shame it got nerfed I would like to see its damage returned to a level that makes it comparable to the damage delivered by a 3.03 Code like the PROMETHEUS.
5.00 refire is for those that cannot hit...."spray and pray" :P

In 4.83 it was so good that it was spammed left and right....
I would say keep the refire at 4.00, make it deal more damage than Nomad Blaster but use much more energy.... it will be comparable to other weapons, could be combined with them and will not be spammed extremely.
or
move it to 5.00 but make the damage/energy ration equal to average 4.00 weapons, that way it's exclusivity will be the high refire.

I like the Solaris, use it on one of my fighters, but I think it should be kept at 4 and the damage/energy should just be increased. It's already plenty fast compared to other codenames, so refire rate shouldn't be a problem.

Yes, it was spammed left and right. But now it's useless. I say we find a middle.
There's no point in nerfing a weapon so much so it becomes pretty much weakest.
Increase DPS on about 2200 (as average Code with 2.0 or 3.03 refire), and give it the same energy usage as, say, Iron Hammer?
Not exactly like Prometheus (THE best Code right now, both by the looks and by the books), but i think something like 1:5 = energy:damage would be cool.
5.0 is easy to hit, but it gives variety. But, we don't want it to be spammed again, do we.
So, either give it a 5.0 refire with 1900-2000 DPS, or as i said, 4.0 with more damage but same energy:damage.

one of the reasons for that, blunt, is that there is only one weapon on the outcast side that is 600 speed, so the only thing to sync with them is more codies.
