Must haves: Be based on Caelastraz Server
Friendly members
Don't mind 'lone wolf' players
Take *ANY* level/class of player
Don't mind 'casual' players
Must not have: Greedy guild leaders that are just using the guild system to build up their own bank/equipment.
The main reason for this post is because I *want* to be in a guild. The perks are worth the hassle.
The guild I am currently in has a problem.
The leader of the guild seems to be drawing a *LOT* of money from the guild bank all of the time, according to the logs.
There is NEVER any money for repairs.
I haven't put any gold into the Guild Bank personally, but the guild has the '5% perk' where 5% of the gold gotten from a kill is calculated and put in the GB.
There should be a lot of gold in there, but there isn't and the Guild Leader seems to be doing most of the drawing.
I have had an idea this has been happening, but I have only just started to check the logs. I'm just slightly annoyed.
Maybe some people do know of you here, I dunno, I don't. Doesn't change the fact that few people here actually play WoW, and even fewer would play on the same server as you do. The chances of your success are statistically much lower by asking here, rather than asking on a more appropriate forum.
It doesn't matter that people don't know you there, someone will answer your question. You know how people become known on a forum? But actually posting there. To say you are not well known enough to post, when the only way to become known is to post is a bit of a paradox.
You could also try asking in-game, as is the norm. Posting here will only get you such results as the above posts.

Well, I guess you could say I have achieved one thing at least......
How long has it been since you posted from that account? :P
Joke.
On a more serious note, it's not that I don't post on the WoW forums because I'm not known there, I don't post there because.....well, I don't post there.
I've only actually become interested in being in a Guild for purely selfish reasons..... the 'perks' you get as the Guild levels up.
While I say 'selfish' however, I'm being selfish while not harming other people.
I put armor/gear I don't need/can't use up for Auction first and if it doesn't sell, I'll put it in the Guild Bank for someone else to get to.
At any rate, I'm starting to think this is a losing battle and while the guild leader of the guild I am currently in is ripping off 99% of the gold in the vault, it doesn't really affect me, so it's kinda "meh" ain't it.

There is no daily quota of posts to meet. I post whenever I feel I can offer a constructive point of view, or offer something humorous to a thread, or something random and BBful if it's flood. If I'm not posting, that generally means there's nothing of worth to me going on in the forums.:)
Perhaps a selfish person belongs with a selfish guild master. Afterall, a proper guild expects you to work together to help each other towards higher goals, that's the point of it. So if you're in a guild for only your own desires, you probably wouldn't last long in another sort of guild. You don't seem like the sociable type.

I'm quite happy to go and do quests/raids/dungeons/whatever with other players, if I'm not actually doing a quest at the time.
I've gone from one end of a continent to the other, by 'rent-a-ride', to help a lower level person get past a quest that was giving them some grief. They had to kill a big fish or something from memory.
I'm 'selfish' in that I have been 'bitten' one too many times in this sort of game, so I'm always looking out for myself.
That isn't to say that if I'm in raid and we are getting our heads handed to us, that I'm the first one to give up, I'm normally the silly sod hammering away on a mob (I'm not a Tank by the way) AFTER (insert major member of raid squad of your choice) has hearthed out of the area.
Basically, I'm the random guy that always seems to be in a PUG or raid group, that *almost* has it together. lol
