I have a ship that is now in the first step of modeling. I rally need your comments and advices. if this ship happen to be in the next version of Disco, I'll be very lucky and happy.
This ship is built for long-range space travel, take out those annoying NPCs, and just to be an option, not a replacement of Titan or Praetorian. I don't want it to be a SHF, too. I also have some idea of this ship's stats, I think these stats will not cause any unbalances to the Mod.

Well, here are the stats:

Name: MX - Corsairs "Olympian" VHF (Based on the Talos - read on wiki)
Guns/Turrets: 8/2 ( 2 class 9 guns, 6 class 10 guns, 2 class 5 turrets)
Additional Equipments: 1xCM, 1xM, 1xCD/T/Heavy T
Hull strength: 20,000
Max shield class: Fighter class 10 (or Freighter class 6 ??? )
Cargo space: 200 units (look at the hull)
Max NBs/SBs: 100/100
Power: 38,000 units
Recharge: 4,000 units/s
Handling: the same as Praetorian
Price: about 7,000,000 SC

Need your opinions. Really want this ship to be in the game.

Looks pretty cool, but it's very similiar to the Titan design. Try adding a little bit more that's different, but in the same design style.

6 class 10 guns? Even Spatial dont have that much and thats SHF with maneuverability to match with that...
It could be SHF but then it needs -much- more bulk(maybe derive it from OC/C gunboats?)
Or you cant scratch one class 10 slot so it will be Very heavy heavy fighter (two heavy, yay) but even then it needs more bulk to make up with that much firepower...

Edit: But thats for devs to decide...

Looks really cool but if it is something between corsair and OC tech then it needs more OC in it imho... I see only corsair ship with pretty much generic engine atached...

I laugh my bottom almost out.

Sorry but 8 guns with a <strike>snac+MR+CD</strike> read that thing about the heavy mount wrong:happy:

and yet you think its not out of balance?

If you want a light bomber then it should be more like...

since a Light bomber = a super heavy fighter

To be quite honest, I dont like this idea. The Corsairs already have enough ships. Hell, they have a fighter who's only actual equivalent is a nearly unused junker fighter, and can easily outclass most other snubcraft.

May I strongly suggest modeling in Maya or even a pierat copy of 3dsMax?
Really now, Milkshape is as hideous as it can get. And it lacks a lot of functionality too.

Now for the model. It looks good and tidy as far as I can tell.

8 guns are too much, even if those 2 turrets fire backwards. 6 guns (2 Class 9's and 4 Class 10's) are much more reasonable.

Also, the stats are too buffed for what you want it to be. Which is a multipurpose ship. Which will not happen.

It's simple and good idea. Looks nice, though stats are.. ehmn.. too much If you ask me.

This part especially.. too many guns, and I guess all fire forward?


Anyway, it has stats of big bomber..

If you are going for Light bomber, than SeaFalcon got stats covered I think.


(I guess it's almost big as Titan, so maybe a bit bulkier wouldn't hurt.)

multy purpose vehicles can usually do a lot of thing and are good at none...

The problem is that it's a bomber with VHF guns. This won't work and will most likely be blatantly owverpowered.
