Since it was made clear that technology granted could not be removed by the faction that granted it, can one faction grant the rights for an ''outsider'' to use one of their granted ships, at the cost of not being able to use it anymore?
As an example, with ficticious names, LIBERTRADE requests for a Guardian to the Military Navy of the House of Liberty, which is given to them because ''Space's dangerous'' and the firepower's needed. LIBERTRADE likes to contract freelancers and mercenaries to do escorts, and to one very valliant Freelancer, LIBERTRADE rewards him with the Guardian for chivalry and loyal services over the years.

That means the official faction granted the tech, not the person who has a permission to use it. Meaning its legal server rule wise. In role play it can be done whatever way so long as it meets server rules.

Rights are granted to a character/player combination. There are usually conditions. Transferring the character (or switching ID's/Allegiances) typically triggers one of those conditions. Tech can be removed under those conditions.
Example: Joe Freelancer likes to merc around a bit. He frequently escorts BOWEX and eventually becomes friendly enough with BAF to be granted some ultra sunrails. However, as time progresses Joe becomes less and less inclined to work with BOWEX (bad pay) and ends up mercing out to the Mollies instead, acting as fighter support for their blarghests. The BAF find themselves on the receiving end of their own weapons -> This would trigger a forced removal.
