Has the server always have to stop at the same time? This usually happens on the middle of fights. It's not the first time that this "storms" ruin a fight. This wasn't ocurring before, it's really neccesary?

On the other hand, the server looks kinda unstable this days, I've been dropped off like 6 times on the last two days. What's going on with this starting to occur suddendly?

Can any admin do something about that?

The server used to restart ("have an ion storm") every morning at 1am US Eastern time. This has been a daily occurrence for as long as I've been playing (~2months).

Recently (coinciding approximately with the mining mod changes) the time no longer seems to be the same every night. No idea why it's changed.

In any case, you get 10 minutes warning. What sort of fights are you in that last more than ten minutes?

The server has a daily restart at about the same time every day...that's what it is

it's just something you gotta deal with:)

I see... hope all this problems get solved soon.
I'll try to deal with the ion storms... But it's a little annoying being forced to bear them due to my timezone.

Anyway... It's understandable, it's a moment when there isn't much activity.
Sorry for the rant.

It's not really hard to deal with, just use your 10 minutes warning to finish up whatever you're doing. You don't even actually have to be docked.

Out of curiosity, is this daily server restart a machine reboot or just a re-launch of the server software? Ten minutes seems like an awfully long time for it to be the latter, but you never know . . .

Most of the time it is just a software restart. Depending on what's happened to the O/S file cache it takes about 3 minutes to start FLServer.

If the cache is completely empty - which happens when I reboot the machine for stupid windows update - it takes around 20-25 minutes to restart FLServer.

Ahh even the server gets hit with those dam windows updates? They have lagged me right out of games at times. Can't you turn them off for the server?

I don't think turning off security updates would be a good idea for a server.
