First of all, I would like to thank all who participated in our short living but entertaining faction and especially Spear who helped me a lot with making Unioners live for nearly 3 months and contributing to the RP aspect. He was my real companion out there for most of the time.

While this makes me sad, this is a decision I had to take not due to real life issues but I personally do not see a future for the Unioners to actively exist on this server. I am happy though since we tried to produce something substantial, decent RP. Maybe it was not perfect but it was good wished all the time. I spent nearly half a billion or more for the creation and running of this faction which I will never ever regret for. A small amount of people did their best to maintain this thing.

I also thank AC Merc for his donation in the start, Dab and Lancerzero for their contribution in the armistice thread, the Repex pilots who we had entertaining time with, Ximen Benitez for helping us have a private forum and of course the RM who had always been watching us without getting annoyed. I thank for the overall tolerance shown toward the Unioners by the community as an official faction for this long even if they were always low on numbers.

A small note to add. The ship project for the Unioners will go on, so interested people could still submit their ideas there. I will try to contribute to our beloved mod with one more substantial thing, a new ship.

Thanks again to everybody who involved in our encounters, dialogues and fights.

EDIT: Also thanks to Adrian, the name founder of this faction, Connor for the small RP we had while Unioners were allied with Corsairs and Jonathan for the faction flag.

Damn shame, I havent been that active on [W] lately but I still intend to keep my chars on stand by to have fun with! Was a great ride Kress and some really good RP and fights came out of it.

RM and Rep-Ex, don't think you've seen the last of the Eberstark brothers or Hugo Clemens!

Kress, I'm sorry to see the group go. Also doesnt bode well for others of us trying to work on small faction groups. I think the AFA is dead at this point too, and I dont know if I'm on in a diffrent time zone or what, but I rarely see Black Dragons online anymore. I'm starting to RP with the NLH'ers, because I dont want to give up my Ze'ev Barak Char. I was talking with Equinox the other day and we were both lamenting the fact that it's so hard to get a small faction group up and running, but some of the best oppurtunities for good rp are in the small factions. It is hard, and frustrating, especally when you see that there are what 4 outcast factions, 3 or 4 Corsair factions, 2 liberty navy and 1 liberty police faction. The problem is that it's very easy to generate intrest in a poorly RP'ed major faction, and very hard to generate intrest in well RP'ed small factions. I feel like some of the hard core RP's should put their heads together and get a really solid, well RP'ed small faction to show people how it's done. Some of us have tried it individualy or in pairs, but I think the brain trust of disco could do it really well.

Anyway back to the topic at hand, sorry to you the Unioners go:(

Sorry to hear it. You certainly didn't pick an easy group to roleplay.

Perhaps instead of closing it down permanently, you could transfer leadership to someone trustworthy?

This sounds like he is not trustworthy:crazy:

But otherwise you have my support... you can close it as an official faction.. but deleting everything is not a good idea.

We will most probably run under independent names, just Spear and me if he doesn't give up. Transferring the leadership wouldn't change the fact that small factions live short. It is sad but true.

Wow...I hate to see the Worker's Front go, man. Always had the greatest of respect for you guys and your RP, and was looking forward to the friendly competition in Rheinland.

About the small faction thing - you guys are absolutely right. All the factions I'm in - except the TAZ - are small, well-RPed factions that I think deserve more attention than they get. (And the TAZ, to its credit, is well-RPed in spite of being fairly large.;)) But anyhow, Kress, I know how you feel. If you ever decide to bring [W] back, I'll help however I can.

Indeed, sad to see the group go. You did a good job with it. I have removed [W] from the official factions list, but saved all info on my HDD should you change your mind or find someone to take over. I do hope to see your independent Unioner chars from time to time.

Man, this saddens me sincerely. People may see my words in whatever fashion they choose, but this is an arrow through my heart. I saw the [W]s not only as excellent opponents but the very essence of Rheinland's unlawfuls. As part of the RM I must say your leaving takes a part of what I understand as my "playground". I know this sounds like overreacting since you said both you and Spear will stick around, but regardless, if this may serve as something of an incentive for at least you guys to go through, there it is.

All in all, I wish you good luck with whatever plans you have. Kress, you have my utmost respect for what you've accomplished. I remember when I first read about your faction idea. I was still pretty green here and it amazed me, really.

Finishing this reply is a hard thing to do...
