I am assuming based on no Caps attacking transports that I am not allowed to ask them for allied pilots. If I do though and they say no - then I am to let them go? Just like we have to let smugglers in transports pass without consequences? Am I correct in these assumptions? Whats the point then in being able to demand allied pilots if there are no consequences? A little clarification please.

Thanks!

As a general rule - ignore transports in caps unless you're in your own guard system. RP with em all you like, but for all practical purposes they aren't on your target scanners. Go by that thought and you should be fine.

I see - look out only for enemy fighters, caps, etc - forget transports exist - works for me! Thanks. :nyam:

You've several possibilities:
  • pew pew if you're in a GB (it's also a cap)
  • pew pew if you're official tagged
  • report for 6.10
  • call your wingman and CD him till they are there
  • ram him
  • report him to the house criminal database (if you've access)

Ask some gunboats and lower classes to intercept him.

And then you in your cap just ignore him.

Quote:report for 6.10 No

rule lawering, ooRP.

Quote:call your wingman and CD him till they are there CD counts as an attempt at piracy, which wouldn't go over well with the admins.

Quote:5.2 All attacks must be the result of some form of role play. "Engaging" is not sufficient. An attack is any hostile action that drains shields to less than 50%. Being hit with a CD is not considered an attack. If a player is attacked he has a right to defend himself regardless of who is attacking.

Or better:

Quote:Being hit with a CD is not considered an attack. This one is self-explantory. This also means that those annoying Navy Guard ID'd battleships can stop your smuggler with CD's, because they are NOT attacking you - and keep you there long enough for the police to show up to 'arrest' you.

Quote:ram him Ramming counts as an aggressive action/attack/attempt at piracy.

Quote:An attack is any hostile action that drains shields to less than 50%.

So, meh.

Ramming and CDing do not count as attacking. A capship can ram or CD a trader all day long if they want, as long as they don't put the shields below 50% or destroy it.

Edit: Ninjaed by someone who figured out how to get the pretty colors right:P

The fact that ramming damage goes past the shield is just a loophole here. Would you bet your ship on the admins seeing it the same way as you do?

They could post here and clarify it. Until then I do what's allowed by rules and raming is.
(They had changed it, after the non-ramming-rule was removed, if it's not allowed.)
