Whenever I strafe left or right, it won't stop doing strafing in said direction.
No, I am not in engine kill, yes I logged off and back on, yes this is effecting all of my characters.
that happens to me sometimes with X, my ship just starts to go backwards for ever... i just start to press all boutons randomly until she gives up, most of the times all it takes it is just pressing X again
i dont think is a keyboard problem since it only happens to me in Freelancer...mostly happens when im trying to do many things at once, like strafing right while going backwards, firing and use space at the same time...
If you have more than one keyboard where you are, try using a different one. If it's the problem get a new one. And Shadow, that happens to me, it's not the same problem seeing as it effects all his chars. The reverse thing doesn't just randomly happen.

Yeah, I've had the same problem. IT happens when your going backwards and start talking at the same time. That solution is just to press x again. But this is different, I pressed them again and nothing happened.

I've had this happen when I strafe or roll using the numpad and turn off numlock while the strafe is active. I've found this quite handy as a strafe and roll combine into a barrel roll maneuver, which gives any turreted vessel some defense against SNACcing in open space. This is particulary useful for fleeing transports. Best thing yet? The roll persists into turreted mode - so you can shoot back on whatever is at your aft while performing moderate evasive maneuvers, and still go in the general direction of where you want to be.
