Right, after a talk with devs, we've now adjusted this request.

This is not at all planned for 4.86, it can't even be because of timing. Maybe for 4.87 or some update after 4.86.

What we'd like is a Brigand VHF. The design should match the base idea of all brigand vessels, I am talking about these rerto-futuristic World War 2 jets/boats/submarines/stuff.

The VHF should be a mix of the Brigand HF and the Brigand Bomber, and if you want mix a little from the LF in aswell. However, as it is the first "modern" brigand vessel manufactured, contrary to the aged design of the Cuirassier and co., it does not necessarily have to blend in fully with the shipline, a little more "modern" design would be appreciated.

The second thing would be if someone could take a look at the bomber, there are some complaints about it that it's asymmetrical, some issue with the wings I think. I think this is the only model-related problem...

And last but not least, we'd like a paintjob, as that dull brown/orange is way too overused and makes little sense. Something in line with a darker red would be indeed nice, so it wouldn't be a big step from that current orange colour. And yeah, the VHF also with the new colour then.

That'd be all, hoping for some nice designs, and please don't go too off topic. Thanks.

Are they still supposed to look like old fighter jets?

Firstly, Angel of Mercy made the entire Brigand shipline for 4.85.

Secondly, points about bombers being balanced wrong have little to do with ship design and more to do with well, balancing. No re-modelling needed there.

Thirdly, Pirates use hit and run tactics. You are pirates.
If they used pitched battle tactics like most larger navies used, they would be destroyed utterly and completely. Hit and run works for pirates.

Fourthly, and perhaps most importantly, just because you may get these ships re-modelled, it does not mean they will be included in 4.87. They will 99% not be included in 4.86 simply due to timing.

Fifthly, I hope some nice models are made. Regardless of the previous points, I like pretty models:lol:

No, actually some design that has little to do with anything from our current world would be more appreciated. Like...no jets or submarines...

Just pointing out that we want ships who are made to survive during long raids, not quick and swift attacks, that's more the role of the Corse as far as that's concerned.

That is essentially the truth you will have to face.

But if you have the patience to wait for two mod versions then feel free.

This doesn't change anything in the fact that we want new models... :P

Remodelling the Brigand shiplines means remodelling the Unione Corse ship line as well, since they share the same models, lore wise as well. Corse ships are light versions of Brigand ships. Keep this in mind.

EDIT: Also, the Brigands are not warriors. They are pirates. They abuse of hit and runs probably even more than the Corses do.

I want to get off Mr. Igiss' wild ride.

That can be worked around, tbh.

The LE are trying to retcon the Brigands to make them into a combination of the Council and Maquis. A sort of third military power that also pirates when things are slow. Hence the drive towards moving away from the idea of being 'pirates' to something more in line with a traditional military faction.

Edit: While it might be fair to claim that the LE are simply trying to adapt the Brigands to their own vision, or integrate themselves into the same, threads like this suggest a larger agenda in terms of the npc faction proper. Hence my claim.

But what about my Brigand smuggler that chills with the Rogues? Q_Q

I do beg the question of 'why?' for the retconning.

Small/medium/glaringlylarge warning though, Gallia is Igiss' baby. He may not react very well to folks attempting to retcon things.
