Take a close look at some of the Rhienland info cards, should explain about the nationalization of Tradelanes, and the impact they would have on Ageira, and yes, on IC.... The point is, pressure on both companies should make them both think twice about enforcing an embargo of this nature.

I could say the same about Bretonian ships shooting their suppliers in Kusari space. It seems that consequences exist only for one side from your point of view.
It is very questionable whether Gallic lane technology is any compatible with existing Bretonian lane network.
Ok so work out who owns the lanes and deal with it in RP.
I would say that the lanes are the property of whoever hired Agiera to build them.
IC is owed money for them as they financed the deal.
The Kusari/Rheinland nationalisation of the lanes really just talks about the cancelling of debt I believe.

Ageira builds the lanes alongside with the DSE while the IC was an entity capitalized by those to companies to finance them. Considering when the lanes in Liberty and Bretonia were built it is possible that it has been paid for and the lanes are owned by respective governments as part of the house infrastructure. That would at least explain the lanes' affiliation with house police.
In 523 IC took control of all lanes. Though later Kusari and Rheinland nationalised them. So IC still owns lanes in Bretonia and Liberty. Also, why IND was contacted at first and not IC that has closer ties to Ageira and could take care of incident.
And yes, it is sad that only one side would feel consequences. Imagine if shut down lanes in Bretonia to show our point. No? Exactly.
