can't connect

Hi, Just hoping someone could help me, .................every time I try to join all i get is this error..........

I used the dirrect connect tool and nothing works................................My friend has vista ultimate, and his works at his house (he has the same router too?)................I'm going to try it with out the router now (the only thing I haven't tried) and wil post the results


System specs:
Vista
intel core 2 duo
nvidia 8600m gs 1440x900 1500 mb
lynksis router
3 gb ram

How is that going to help at all? He said he can -see- the server due to direct connect and can try to enter it but it gives him that error. Using the GLS isn't going to suddenly make him able to enter AFAIK.

I just tried it hooked straight in to my cable modem , bypassing the router and no luck :(.........and tried the work around mentioned above

I'm going to get comcast on the phone and see if they are blocking it ?

I bet its a combination of vista and norton or vista and mcafee.
You have to uninstall, not disable your antivirus to get that problem sorted.

Check the windows firewall isn't blocking freelancer.exe
