As some of you may know, my machine has been repossessed 'For Exams' which quickly became 'Until we see you passed all your classes' which means 'If you didn't make honor roll we'll kill you'. So, my father is working late, and that means I have all day to play! If he hadn't hidden the power cable to the router. So, I've been trying to plug one of the cables directly from the modem into my machine (my stolen wireless is not stable enough to play on). Problem is, every time I try I get a "Limited or No Connectivity" message. Any idea how I can make this baby work?

The reason it says "Limited or no connectivity" is simply that the PC can't see a router. (yes, it's that simple) It should still be able to connect to the internet. You may need to run the network config again to set it to "This computer connects directly to the internet'

If my father registers on the forums he will invariably join my faction, because he likes Italians and grey, pointy ships with unnecessary outriggers. Then he will be subject to my control. So it's actually a bit of a plus...
