Hello, the names Michael, and im from Sweden. Nuff said about me for now.:laugh:
I first played Freelancer 5 days ago (on the 3rd of feb), and I finished the SP on the morning of the 3rd day. I liked the game from the start, and I think it is awesome.:)
I wanted to try out Multiplayer but as I had found out on Wiki, befor I played the game, the developers had closed down the servers some time ago, but that there where privat servers out there. So I decided to look around to see if I could find anything.
You would be surpriced how much you can find that is not this game when you look for Freelancer.:laugh:I did manage to find a few places, but not sure where to go or if any of them where still going. I finaly stopped looking becouse it was boring, and went to YouTube to see if I could find some cool clips with Freelancer.
I ran across a clip about a really cool ship named Blue Thunder, it was for server police at another server (not going to say which, look for it your self), I was going to check this one, but never did becouse something cought my eye. There was another guy who mentioned he thought the ship was good, and that he was speaking as a server knight as another server (not going to say this one either;)). Obviously the ship cought my eye, but what really cought my eye was what that guy ended his little post with: "(Discovery Mod)".
I dont know why, but I felt I just had to look that up, found some page where you could dl it from, but they refered to this page, and BEHOLD! Here I am! I noticed that there where 20/30+ people online on the forum, which is always a good sign, so I desided then and there that this was the place I would give the multiplayer a go, why go to another server with the Discovery mod when you can be at the source.;)
I have tryed out your rp multiplayer for just over a day and a half now I think it is. And I like it here already. I do intend to stay.:)I will need some time to learn about the factions, new and old, it does seem awfuly complex.:P
My character (only have one at the moment) is named Rhodryn Callahorn, he will be a Bretonian. As for what he will become when he reach lvl 40, I am thinking to make him a Navy, or maybe police, or what ever "protect the people" one there are for Bretonians. But, at the same time I am considering Bounty Hunter, Mercenary or Freelancer also, I dont know which foot to stand on. *L* One reason is that I really like some of the Bounty Hunter ships, but it seems like I have to use Bretonian ships to not be OORP if I want to be a Navy,Police, protector. I dont know, still alot of things I got to learn. lol
At the moment he is just over 20, would probably have been higher if I had not lost about 37.000 (which was almsot half of what I had at that time) due to an accidental crach into a jump gate. Remember to ALWAYS make sure you got the JG targeted befor you thrustur your way towards it to escape pirats. XD And then loosing about about 150K when being jumped by 5 lvl 12 enemys when I was in my Clydsdale. I literaly had 57$ left after that attack.:(
Well look at that, I have already babbled for to long, I always do that. You guys will have to get used to that.:laugh:

Welcome to Discovery man, if you have any questions about FL or the Mod, I've played FL in beta with Bargib of TLR and I've been at Disco for a good two months, so I know the way around the game as I'm sure a majority of the people do here as well.
