I can't get it past 2.4 Ghz. That being said, 2.25 is as high as it will go without crashing Windows. I'm using the stock voltages. If I set it higher than 2.4, it resets to 1.8. Any ideas would be wonderful.

set voltage to like 1.65-1.7... and get a better heatsink... if ur gunna go to 2.4 u NEED a better heat sink or watercooling... but first try the voltage... it worked on my comp for a while

DON'Tstart upping voltages without getting a better heatsink. That's how motherboards get fried.
RockStar, its not a temporary solution, even if you just do it temporarily it could cause permenant damage to the MoBo.

hey it worked for me when i at a p4 1.8... i got it to 2.4 stable with stock heatsink and 2 fans voltage at 1.7... not to mention an asus and the comp is like 8 years old... try that... i no wat im doing

My proc is running at about 50-60 degrees C. CPU-z found this:

You won't get any higher than that. NewCastle is a rather old core revision, and didn't overclock well. Also, you are running pretty hot there. Increasing the clock further would not be good for the processor.

hmmm i have same processor with Venice core...currently overclocked to 2.1 GHz...runs smoothly....i went up to 2.3 Ghz without any problems...but i don't dare to keep it that high for long cause its cooled by stock cooler...
so like Korrd recommended... don't go higher without better cooling system...
