Is there anyway i can eliminate it without formatting the drive?
because i have a lot of important data that i need.

its a trojan and i aint got know idea what its name is
and i need to install a new Anti Virus program...my current one is out of date by about a month

EDIT: also, reason why i havent been playing Fl lately is because all my games on there have been lagging like heck
could a a trojan cause that? ( i killed about four gigs worth of programs, and possibly the trojan and it seemed to go back to normal (still lagging in online play)
my machine has also been running slower.
any ideas?
and could a trojan/virus affect a PS2

I think McAffee (anyway my version) is capable of getting rid of Trojans.

Kaspersky has a fully usable, 30-day demo available for free download. I highly suggest you try that.
