[#CommID], A humble request from the Kusari Orphanage Society.
Honourable Kusari citizens,

Our future is imperilled; the green shoots of our society wither and fall to petty larceny and beggary. By small measures the generations that will follow us become smaller, more pitiable things. We cannot allow this to continue. The Jinjutsu Iseijin Corporation founded the Kusari Orphanage Society to meet this goal.

Between raids by Bretonian privateers, Blood Dragons, Chrysanthemums and Outcasts the rising numbers of orphans prove to be a strain on the State'€™s resources. Our initiative seeks to redress the balance, and provide these valuable young citizens of Kusari with hope and a future.

These poor souls are on the streets of our colonized planets, in the air ducts and scampering through crawlspaces on stations, stealing and begging for bowls of rice. This is not the image visitors to Kusari should see of us, we are a powerful people, so how can we let our young and weak be so undefended? It is a point of shame that we must, as a Nation, stand up and redress.

For just a few credits a month you can help to feed and clothe an orphan, for just a few credits more you give them a room in our new orphanages where they can be schooled and prepare for careers in private Keiretsu, the State Police or Naval Forces, even the Government itself. Their service to the citizens of Kusari will repay your generosity many times over, so please, take this time to make a donation to the Kusari Orphanage Society.

Thank you for your help in achieving lasting change for orphans in Kusari, and in KOS'€™s work.

Honourable citizens of Kusari and outlying settlements,

Thank you for your donations to this just and necessary cause. With the credits our generous patrons have offered into our safe keeping we have built seven new orphanages and renovated four more. It is our hope to create a better present for all our children, so they can create a better future in which we may all grow old and look on with pride.

Four of the seven new orphanages are based on Planet Kyushu, a place that has historically had little need for such facilities, considering the strong familial culture and the strong bonds of the agricultural families. With recent tolls taken in the war with Bretonia recruitment to the Kusari Naval Forces was stepped up and many young people from Kyushu, faced with an increasingly poor economic future as agricultural workers, chose to sign up. Many of these fine young soldiers have died heroic but tragic deaths on the front lines against our intractable enemy in Leeds, only to leave their families without the means to care for children. Young mothers are forced to find part or full-time employment. They cradle munitions and roku of rice, rather than their fragile babies. Many mothers, unable to face single parenthood give up these children.

Gozen Tomoe came to us at the age of five and has been within Kusari Orphanage Society accommodation for two years now. She takes classes six days a week in basic astrometrics, children'€™s literature, mathematics, physics and cultural history. She has a rudimentary understanding of orbital drift and has written a number of amusing, if unrefined haiku.

We also take care to ensure that the strong traditions of Kusari are imparted to our charges. Each Orphanage has a neighbouring shrine where the children can learn from the resident priests about their heritage, and how right conduct is relevant in a time of troubles. We hope that each of our charges will leave the Kusari Orphanage Society'€™s protection with a sense of respect and duty towards Kusari and for their fellow citizens.

Please continue to donate, because the credits are not wasted '€“ they are invested.
