A joint Rheinland-Kusari force today trapped and destroyed almost the entire eastern Bretonian fleet in the Cambridge system:
Rheinland set the bait this morning, for one of the most well planned, and lethal strikes in the war so far, leaving Bretonia reeling. Although Rheinland has claimed to a policy of not moving its military further than the Omegas, it uses BDM agents to wreak havok throughout Bretonia. These agents today were the lure, as several snubs were deployed to lure Bretonian forces into the Cambridge system.
In a stunningly well rehearsed and perfectly executed co-operation maneuver; Kusari then launched a surprise attack through the Cambridge jump hole, (which the Rheinlanders had drawn the Bretonian forces to) jumping a Kusari Heavy Battleship and bomber support, right into the center of the Bretonian fleet!
At the same moment, Rheinland deployed another two gunboats from the nearby Omega 3 jumphole, co-ordinated to arrive at precisely the same moment as the Kusari surprise attack.
Taken by surprise, the Bretonian forces were caught off guard, and utterly Butchered. With a loss of One Battleship, Three Destroyers, and numerous snubcraft. It is rumoured the only ship to escape the battle was our source ship, which managed to jump to Omega 3 and transmit these images, before it too was hunted down and destroyed by multiple BDM snubcraft.
However despite their staggering success, Rjeinland and Kusari stil displayed their lack of experience flying joint ops, when one Rheinland ship accidently destroyed the Kusarian bomber!
This close co-operation By Rheinland and Kusari is Bretonia's worst fears realised, and it certainly raises the question of weather Bretonia will step up its pleas for Liberty to intervene against Kusari. For with its Eastern fleet so horribly damaged, many Bretonian citizens are loosing faith in their governments ability to protect against Rheinland. So much so, that it is rumoured that Bretonia is already Suing for peace!
