Having a quick look through the Starport Forge, I came across this little gem.

Quote:==============DelayDisplay==============
Coded by M0tah

Purpose: Display the time remaining to fire a weapon on the HUD. Only weapons that have a refire_delay of at least 1 have times shown.

Installation: Copy DelayDisplay.dll to Freelancer's EXE folder. Then add DelayDisplay.dll to the [Libraries] section in dacom.ini.

Interesting?

Sounds cool.

It's useful for MRs, Novas, SNACs and other slow refire rate guns that need to take a little more caution when firing.
It would be cool if the guy who made that feature would allow the devs to get in-game in the future versions (over a few years maybe xD), but still, it is a cool feature.

This will be very usefull but you need to bump Cannon if he would allow it as modification.

And you are breaking the Discovery rules. I advise you take the mod off.

Mkay... Didn't help me much anyway, since I always have the Weapons Display minimized...

This would be very useful because of the bug where the weapon cooldown resets if you try to fire it while you don't have enough energy.

Would be cool if we had a voice say: "Heavy weapons, ready to fire."

Or play any sound, or display some text, or really anything to let me know that it's ready to go.

Although, I suppose the problem with SNACs isn't the cooldown of the weapon, it's the energy needed to fire it--if you try to fire it after the cooldown finishes but before you have energy, it resets the cooldown.

Would be nice if there could be some kind of alert...
