[color=#FFFFFF]Hmm I think it's possible to be done using freelancer components only. I am not aware of how things work but if you can rescale the FP's biodomes and fill them with habitation modules of different sized should look like a fairly realistic city + it will totally blend with the rest of the stations
Might look a little odd R3v, it would look less and less like a circular shape due to it's increased size and the non-increasing number of sides.
I'd suggest making a new one.
All said and done, I be assuming such a venture is for the orbital colony above JiangXi?
Not entirely sure if such a station would look good next to a planet. We make a point of avoiding large stations next to planets simply because they look silly.
[color=#FFFFFF]If I had any modeling skills with 3D Modeling programs I would have given it a shot, the best I could do at the moment is produce a sort of concept for it.
That said, I know this is your idea and ultimately your money but wouldn't a Stanford torus be better? It is much more scientifically plausible i.e. gravity power generation and distribution. And you can still have buildings on the inside if you want
Deep space freeports sound tasty.
Instantly a domed city made of a Jinkusu springs to mind. Literally the entire ship taken apart to make the spaceport. Engines sticking out, hull plating etc. That's just my mind wandering though xD
Give the dome a go folks, it's certainly something that Discovery could be proud of and use to showcase the mod.
