Was testing a Carrier Model that I made few days ago and decided to play along with reflection a bit. Came nice, but not as I expected it to come out exactly with 'zig-zag' edges.

If you have experience on 3ds Max Rendering Reflection - please give some tips on getting it a much better detailed look. Thanks.

No, the model is not for discovery =]

Nice model, and the reflection adds more to the detail of it to me.

Also, it looks almost Homeworld-ish with the engine layout and bulky prow.

Would this not be better placed in the media section if it does not pertain to Discovery development?

Hades...

Why and always WHY you have to come with a pitiful excuse to most of the models. Is like everything bothers you. The Developer section is to show your work on ideas and yet 'models' of what can be added to Discovery.

Yes I did say it wont be for Discovery - but in reality - it may be for a specific faction. So please - give yourself a break already.

No aggression, just merely explaining myself on what I see in your post in the Dev sections.

I said nothing of the model, I merely said that, unless you intend it for the mod, it seems out of place. It's also not that everything bothers me, but that if things need improving in an area, I'll damn sure point it out. Just saying 'yes, I like it' or talking about the quality parts of a mesh does not help the modeler know what to improve it in any parts that need such, and I'd expect no less from anyone else.

I'm also fairly confused here - you say it won't be for Discovery, but it'd be for a faction of Discovery? Can you please elaborate on this?

Again, is my PoV on how I read your post - of course, I'm not showing aggression towards you as we both are Discovery Modellers and with full respect.

What I try to say is that 'maybe' later in the future this model can be fitted in a faction, but not now. Sorry for the confusion; quite didn't understand it myself neither.

Yes, but this is not what the topic pertains to be about.

Aye, apologies if I came off as aggressive, that was not my intention.

As for the ship itself, since you seem to want some comments on it which wasn't made very clear in the original post, it's not bad. Looks like it'd fit in as a GRN carrier.

(honestly, the original post made it sound like you just wanted to show off the render)

Yes is too show off the render and ... the ship itself if one wants to comment on it. However, not looking for that, but I put it here to get some feed-backs and some help to get a better reflection.

I believe this Thread is a whole confusion that I have made.
