Can't connect either

Hi all,

i am getting the same error when i click to connect to the discovery server.
Norton or Mcafee have never been even near to my pc (sine they are bloatware anyway).
I have Vista home premium and game loads up perfectly for SP. I can even play SP with Discovery on.
My router is pretty much open to all ports.
What I have tried (and failed so far)...
1. Disable windows firewall and defender
2. install FL as admin with comp mode.
3. Install patch as admin with comp mode.
4. run FL as admin with comp mode using FLSDCT

At that stage I click LAN and see the servers that are available (plus my test server running on PC2 with the same installation).

Please someone come up with a bright idea cause I have totally run out of possible answers (I even tried running ethereal to see if some port is requesting and getting denied...)

What other Virus/Firewall protection do you have installed that may be interfering with the game? (Heard rumors that Avast is starting to cause problems.)

Can you substantiate those rumors? Where did you hear those?
