Allright so there are some points that I don't like:

1. Bounty for 10 kills (or another random number)...

How is that good RP? and How does that not encourage PVP whoring... kill a guy.. then wait 4 hours.. then kill him again?

2. Collecting bounties in capital ships... like BC against a LF..:$

As people already suggested.. what about disallowing to take bounties in bigger ships than GBs?

3. Claiming a bounty when you die in the process

"Hi.. I'm dead but so is he"
A bit strange...but whatever

If you are thinking about that Ibanez guy, he didn't kill Chiffre at all.
I CD-ed a nuke that Chiffre dropped and killed both. So he can't really claim a bounty.
Not that it's important.

On the topic, agreed on all 3 points.
All are completely absurd, and should be removed.

I agree. If you don't value a single kill that highly, then lower your bounty. Saying that you want them "killed" multiple times only makes the fact that no one here can actually be "killed" more pronounced. Bad.

Indeed. Agreed on all points, except in cases involving Capital ships, in which case the bounties should be open to other capital ships of that class or smaller, and the bounty value should rise exponentially.

But where's the revenge factor in that? .... j/k:Dyes it smacks of whorishness.

Kind of agree.... but then a LF is really good at running away from a capship. There again a gunboat is not so good at running away....

It can pay for a really nice funeral:D

The death thing is ridiculous, if the member who finished the job didn't report back (as in they didn't bother or they were dead, and dead people can't operate comms I thought...) they would just say that the job worked itself out and pay no one. People offering bounties won't pay if they don't have to; the money is only there to get the job done, not on principle...

I claim the title of bounty queen.
I've perfected it. This gives me credentials.
Its a bit complicated, but one can rp a bounty rather well.

Personally, my advice is always that between 5 and 20 million, per confirmed destruction of a character's ship, until either the bounty paying character can no longer afford it, is appeased, or the bountied character is dead. (dead being permakilled...the player behind the character decided that it wasn't worth it anymore)

It would be wise to note, that bounties are quite often very cruel, and you could quite possibly come to regret a successful bounty campaign. I do.

Unselie is absolutely right.

Bounties should really have some great RP basis behind them.

Otherwise, I agree with points 1 and 3. Point 2, on the other hand, is really up to the player.

I know from that past that I've collected bounties where I've died, however... The one with me was my wing-mate. We're a pair o' bounty hunters. One of us dies, the other goes to collect.

On this issue, I say the bounty for constant killing is kinda whoreish. With me, I am quite sure I had a bounty on my head until I was killed. I would like to fire on that bh when I see him, but don't because the way I see it I was killed and because I didn't live I wouldn't be able to seek revenge. Know what I am saying? Basically a bh was paid to kill me, he did, now that I was killed it doesn't seem right to kos him because I see it as starting over once I respawn. Unless I get another bounty on me I see no need to attack them.

Now what I wrote below goes along with Mjolnir's point three, but covers what happens if you both didn't die in the same fight.

If a player is offered a bounty to kill another and dies trying, he will never be able to get the bounty on him again until said player is killed....they may sound confusing, but let me give you an example.

Unselie, you claim to be a bounty queen so I will use you in my example.

Okay lets say my fighter "Kampfer" had a bounty put on his head. Unselie goes after Kampfer and Kampfer kills Unselie. Now lets say Unselie just made a costly mistake in the first fight and comes back and engages me again and kills me. Unselie should not be able to collect on that bounty, because of being killed in the first engagement.

Now lets say Unselie died trying to kill Kampfer for the bounty, but another bh killed Kampfer later on and the bounty was paid. Now time passes and another bounty is placed on Kampfer and Unselie kills him this time and therefore Unselie is able to collect that bounty.

I admit I am still new to this server and am not sure if players who die trying to collect a bounty kill the person later before someone else killed the person the bounty was on. I don't know if it happens, but is there already a rule here that players can't do that?
