This is version 10 of the updated dsace.dll for testing. You do not need to install it to play on the server. This is for testing and it still has some bugs.
YOU WILL BE KICKED BY THE SERVER IF YOU ARE USING AN OLDER TEST VERSION. YOU MUST UPGRADE TO THIS ONE IF YOU ARE USING AN OLDER TEST VERSION.
Unzip it from inside your Freelancer directory so that the files are placed into the DATA\INTERFACE directory and the EXE directory. Alternatively move the files into place by hand.
Write better installation instructions and post them in this thread. Screenshots should be included.
Changes in version 10:
The use of alt-tab or the evil microsoft windows key no longer causes freelancer to make your computer catch on fire. Probably.
Known faults:
The options->controls->multiplayer screen is a bit messed up - this is cosmetic and won't be fixed until 4.86.
Some people report the new/departing player text as being too big. I will take a look at it at some point.
Collisions in some asteroid fields don't work. Weird.
alt tab back screen fixed here too.:)
Update: works in custon and desktop default resolution.
Using it now..lets see if any other bugs dare to molest Cannon.
I am coming from 8b, I missed version 9 somehow and was not kicked.
My font is really small now with exception of the chat (16:10 1680x1050). No other issues so far.
