how to get to the omicrons inRP?

Alaska is forbidden. clearly by its ID information and quite obviously forbidden. not to mention that there is a huge minefield protecting it.

what about tohoku? - a secret kusari shoguns base that remains on corrupted KNF faction - a barren and deserted system with jumpholes to all sorts of directions. - but is tohoku like alaska? - is it a forbidden system from the point of view of KNF? - would like to hear the KNFs opinion about it.

omega-15.... how official is that system? - there is a rheinland battleship - a junkers base, and the BHG main base for deep space operations ( their capital ships and everything the BHG produces is around this system ).

but this system is not connected by tradelanes - and the jumphole in dresden is regularly camped by hessians - so it can hardly be described as a commonly used / known jumphole. so - how "official" is the omega-15 route to the omicrons.

then there is the omega route - through the explored omega-11 and 5 into 41. - this route appears to be too dangerous to be used on a regular base though - with heavy radiation and only hard to find jumpholes.

then there is the omega-49 route through dublin - but it is said that its secret - so its prolly not THE route to the omicrons.

leaves cambridge - omicron-41. is that jumphole known by the "normal" person? or is it rather a corsair / zoner jumphole. - bretonia has satelites and a battleship there - but does that mean they have a defense grid - or do they really know where the corsairs come from.

i m especially interested in tohoku, as i use it more and more, since alaska is not really the best route to fly.

Cambridge - O41? Only two jump holes in there to the Omegas - 5 and 3. You could go through 5 to 41 with about a 10k cruise through O5, but still...

And which Omicrons are you talking about? Alpha? Gamma? Delta/Minor?

I concur Jinx, Honshu --> (2 desolated systems) -->Tohoku -->Unknown is the only RP route for a Freelancer to enter Omicron. Explorers have to know the coordinates of the jumpholes in the Unknown system to get out. If the KNF forbid the Tohoku route... well...
My freelancer only use this route to go to Delta, and he will be happy to guide any travelers to Omicron through theses systems.
Theoretically, only a Corsair-friendly ship could access to the Omicron systems. The Order should shoot at sight any military ships coming from Liberty by Alaska, and force any other ships to turn back by fear of spying activities from Liberty. This is the only route, a long blind route through the Unknown.

@Zapp - well, yea, - messing the omegas up all the time, when i take that route, i switch my brain off. navigating is too easy, once you have the JHs in your nav log.

the mainquestion is about tohoku, if its the same thing like alaska. i am mainly talking about omicron delta, since i hang out there. - i just wonder how i am supposed to fly into the core systems when its about RP.

when the KNF closed tohoku, which i think they could do, ( allthough its hard to enforce it ) - its only the route through theta and the sigmas or the omegas left. - then i wonder if zoners would rather fly past gran canaria - or through sigma 17.

Then you're forgetting going up to Alpha and swinging through Omi-90, 99, Iota, and down to Delta, running all the good Nomad-y systems.

In RP terms that one's just suicide. Outcasts (able to use that road, everyone else should fear Alpha) should get to Omicrons through the warzone in Eta, right? Help out the war effort on their way in? Cuz isn't Delta just as corsair-covered as Theta?

Theta actually isn't very heavily covered in Corsairs. There are three times as many BHG as Corsairs there. Delta is the one that has a lot of them. Corsairs outnumber the BHG and Nomads (though not both together).

Cambridge-5-41-theta is acceptable, and widely publicized.
The Alaska route...well, there are navy patrols in delta, I believe the order does not have the right stranglehold to stop liberty navy from using it.

I also think the Bretonian house would know about the tau route to alpha.

for now - it appears that going through the sigmas > theta > gamma > kappa > delta worked for a trader.... but how can that be, if omicron gamma is unknown.

well, zoners will know it for sure, so does the BHG, - but how about the generic trader - would he know about that route when even the militaries don t know the location of gamma?

going through alpha and nomad space would be ooRP, as especially iota would be suicide, even if it is harmless to travel through in fact.

edit: well - how much unknown is omicron gamma roleplaywise. - all the southern routes go through gamma. or is it just one of those popular but untrue rumors that the home system of the corsairs is unknown.
