So, I had written a huge wall of text, but the power went out and I don't feel like rewritting it.

To summarize what I had written, buying technologies or commodities of a faction would give that (official) faction a small sum of credits from the cost of the good. As an example, buying a Guardian would give the Liberty Navy faction a small sum of credits, so it would discourage enemies from buying them as it would finance them, buying Debs would give Ageira a small sum of credits as they are built by one of their sub-divisions, which would make Lane Hackers less keen on buying them, and buying Synth Paste would give some profits to the Synth Food faction, as an example.

My first post was a lot more detailed, but seriously, I don't feel like writting for another half-hour.

I want to get off Mr. Igiss' wild ride.

How exactly will the credits be split? Over every char who has that ID? I mean it'll be -REALLY- insignificant.

No, to a bank account managed by said faction. I meant Official Faction.

I don't see Liberty Ships anywhere in that part of the example.

Characters
Alan Markson: The Hellfire Legion's Lord Commander
The Perihelion: Freeport Four's guardian, and yet much more. Missing and assumed Lost with all hands.
Eric Dresmund: Junker, smuggler, thief. Last seen drunk on Beaumont
Vayrn Wyard: IMG Recon pilot turned Neo-Terran Captain. Last location unknown

She's talking about Debs.

But yes, good idea and all. I read somewhere that the player-controlled bases will work like that in .86.

Yes. I like commodity bonuses according to faction and ID. But you have to rethink this one. Another perk for official factions and gives one more thing for indies to whine about.

Cue incoming faction vs indie flame thread.

And what would prevent, say, a synth food player repeatedly buying and selling synthpaste to bring in the creds to the faction?
