A few hours ago, Parliament was called into session to be informed of something that directly affected Bretonnia as well as the coliation of systems now known as the Sirus Federation. All i can tell you right now is that there has been absolutely no commumicaiton from Liberty since the attack from Rheinland. While we understand Rheinland's position and the fact they were forced to retaliate, what bothers us the most is the fact that there has been absolutely no communication, none whatsoever from any branch of government in Liberty. Not even the military is responding, not even the President. We fear a coup has been staged and it's possible it has become successful. That's all I can say for now.'
There you have it, ladies and gentlemen. A possible coup may have been staged in liberty, and it appears it may have been successful, considering there has been a total communications blackout from liberty. I see a member of the 8492nd Tactical squadron.. Let me see if I can get a statement from him too... Sir, can you comment?
All I can tell you now is that things are brewing out of control in Liberty. We've been so busy trying to find the Phantoms, and these.. Death Knights that we've managed to overlook a few problems that were brewing. I can tell you this much tho... we are going to do a full investigation. 8492nd is comprised of members from all four major houses, including Liberty. We'll know the story if a 8492nd member is attacked in liberty. Until then, Liberty has been declared off-limits to all civilians until this situation is resolved. This comes from the Prime Minister, not us. Thank you.
Okay.. I think that says it all. Liberty is off limits by order of the Prime Minister and the 8492nd Tactical.. I've just been given a note. They are no longer a Tactical Squadron. By request of both Rheinland's Chancellor and the Prime Minister of Bretonnia, they have changed their name to the 8492nd Counter Terrorism Unit.
Again, Liberty is now off limits to all civilians. More news as this develops...
