I was once usimg a trade lane and saw 3 pirayes camping the lane in california.they didnt pay any attention to me but wjen a lsf fighter appeared,they screamed in fear and all ran.the lsf didnt do anything except use his presence
how did those piratew get so scared about that lsf?cuz if they were to fight,it wuld have been 3vs1 and i doubt the lsf could have won.so why did those pirates get so scared?how can i get such rep to scare pirates away simply by seeing me?

Well, huh.. It's called Roleplay. Maybe that was some LSF agent feared by pirates, or maybe they assumed he'll call for backup, or maybe had to go OORPly, and just wanted to RP their way out. Who knows.. Also, well.. I can't really tell you how to get reputation when pirates will just run away from you..

The Pirates probalby thought the LSF would keep them there while calling for backup.

And you don't automaticly scare of a bunch of pirates, if you have a LSF or BAF tag.

You need to be known as a good and skilled pilot.

Like, Phate ( a famous pirate ) would probalby scare off Navys and police, who know him.

Or they just didn't want to risk losing people or getting damaged etc... or waste time fighting.

Yep certain char's are known, and feared. It takes a very long time though. I have 1 char that scares away most unfriendlies.(no name mentioned to avoid flames). But it took 2+ years to get the rep as a lawful who kills all unfriendlies even when out-numbered(too a point of course 10:1 still dead).
Still there will always be players that do not know even the most deadly ships flying around,and still engage them on site.
Speaking of which, anyone seen Necrosis in a while?

On another note...
To explain to the original poster.

Some pirates prefer not to fight. Some piratesare simply pragmatic enoughto know that one LSF/LN/LPI pilot generally means there will be more on their way. Some pirates are realistic about their flying skills. Perhaps these pirates were all in barghest bombers, and the LSF guy was flying a guardian... who knows?

There could be many contributing factions.
