[TC]Missingno was shot once just outside manhattan by [SF]-BS-Edinburgh_Guard's CSV with 2 justice MK1's and he returned fire in a rheinland bomber equiped with marsflyer weaponry and 2 codenames, which destroyed Edinbugh_Guard almost instantly.
I would like to know if you think this is fair.
I have screenshots avaliable if needed of the conversation that followed.
I've been mildly miffed by one-shot weapons since their implementation, oh so long ago. I remember the days when fights were a matter of who could aim better, rather than who could aim a single shot. - Virus
I would like to respond with a slightly more acurate and in depth account of what happened.
First of all, yes i did violate the PVP law in new york, but only (and i stress) in self defence.
Now, outside Manhattan, i was fired upon, by [SF]-BS-Edinburgh_Guard (i belive is also 'Jamez') . Without knowing what i had been fired with or what ship class and make the fire was coming from, i returned fire (as you would), in self defence. I had no knowledge if that was the end of the firefight , there could easily of been more in store for me, so i acted like (dispite what [SF]-BS-Edinburgh_Guard and 'Kiggles' claim a person would so) like anyone else. If i had of done what Kiggles later claimed i should of done, which was to say 'stop', would [SF]-BS-Edinburgh_Guard really of done that if he intended to harm me? I think its quite plain he would not of stopped firing on my command.
Now, as i've said, i returned fire with a Rheinland Bomber fitted with twin Diamondbacks, twin Marsflyer stem 3s and a Marsflyer side turret. No more than a single folly was fired off. This (i guess to my suprise) destroyed the individual... [SF]-BS-Edinburgh_Guard. As ive said before, i did not look at the make of ship i was firing at, thus not knowing what my returnment of fire would do. I had no intention of destruction.
Now, a few reasons why i am in the wrong from [SF]-BS-Edinburgh_Guard and Kiggles are as follows...
1) it was in jest - I had no knowledge of this. He is [SF], i am [TC]. It was quite possible he meant to harm me.
2) He may of been carrying expensive cargo - he shouldn't of fired on me in the first place.
3) PVP is banned - my actions were in self defence.
4) He weapons posed no threat to you, why did you retaliate? - Like ive said, i didnt may much attention to the fire coming my way, only the person who was firing it.
I have reponded honestly and am willing to go into more detail should i need to. I have nothing to hide in this matter.
No. I dont think this is fair, however I as a person know this player, and I think rathr than a militious attack it may simply have been the reflex, he's done it to me before, when I had my souped up bomber, but he didnt hurt me hehe. Anyways this is the only reason I signed back on - because discovery needs my opinionated self :cool: . If anything is not done administrator wise, I shall see to it that he suffers withing TC.
Yes i did fire upon missingno (with 2x justice MkI's) i admit, BUT maybe an hour beforehand, missingno fired upon an SF member, Kiggles in NY without warning. With the Marsflyer guns and Diamondbacks. Now all I ask is that missingno LOOKS before opening fire and remember, i'm only messing around and I will take reponsibility for my actions and i realised i disobeyed the non PvP rule, then again, firing ONE shot with the worst guns in the game at a souped up RH bomber isnt what i call a threat. It isnt the fact i lost anything valuable, it's just REALLY ANNOYING.
I would like some sort of proof that he was on for an hour beforehand, as my trader was watching chat lines etc, most of this evening, and he only came on after I logged on with my laptop. Not that I support his attackinh you James, I just dont think he attacked Kiggles, if there is proof of this let me see, and I'll withdraw.
He did shoot me but i have no proof as i said i did not flip out and try to kill him so i did not make a big deal of it and so therefore i did not bother to take any screenshots of it. jamez did say mabye an hour it was about an hour but i do not know exactly when it was.

Well, follow this as you will you guys, including you Missingno. (who is having his rank in TC suspended for a week, coz I feel evil - and more than anything want to abuse my faction leader powers :crazy: ) There is only proof of one attack which I feel Missingno. has defended quite well. It is my proposition that it is ended with a simple transaction, I suggest he pay the total sum of $5,000,000 as an apology for his actions, and leave it at that. I do not see it being of great concern to Admin - it's not a major kill fest or anything, but I see you obviously arent happy, so I rhink some sort of compensation is the way to go.
*Admin - sorry if im speaking above my station, theres no1 on, and I'm trying to work without any superior wolf-shaped input etc. :P *
I do not think this was fair. The first thing you should do when in NY is look at your shield bar to see if it even damages you. If it does then take a screenshot of him shooting you. If he persists shoot him once your shield is lower than 1/3 its max.
But then I will confess, to me it doesn't matter where I am being shot my usual reflex would be to fire back, but, even if you do that you only fire with one low power weapon. In the old days, I used to carry a tizona del cid, just for the purpose of giving fair warning if I was attacked. I have however been lucky enough to never have needed to shoot someone in, near or around New york, as I dont like it there anyway :) .
Considering its this late (for me anyway) I'm surprised I can be so civilised... :crazy:
Oh by the way, guys, if you need something done about it, post those screenies, otherwise theres very little proof. Even if it turns out he's innocent (?). At least we can all chase him because we have screenies! :P
