Its good, thats for sure. The computer diplomacy isn't that great, but still better than a lot of games.. Other than that, its great. An actual tactical space game, rather than a 'who can spam the most of this unit' game.
Heh, I'd still be playing it if my comp wasn't being fixed.. Yes, I did finally break my keyboard through endless typing.. Oh, and half the rest of it is broke, but that wasn't because of me.
One game I will be avoiding despite how good it is I'm afraid I have a real grudge against stardock I'l tell you briefly why .
Bought Galactic Civilizations 2 from the biggest chain of game shops in the UK all shrinkwrapped perfect in every way which was looking to be a promising game although there was so many bugs it was nearly unplayable so I go to download the patches it tells me I need my serial no problem get it off the box.
Tells me the Serial is invalid so I email them expecting them to sort it out pretty fast have to go through this whole email ticket thing about 3 days later their response is an email that simply says ticket closed . I try again get the same response from their customer support basicly a standard reply that suggests the problems been dealt with .
I'm pretty pissed at this point I could have ripped the game of but I bought it had the reciept and these clowns aren't interested. Now i'm left with a game I can play but is so bugged its really pointless to try the patches are online but I cant get them because they screwed up the serial numbers on boxes.
So yeah not getting my cash again and I'd advise avoiding their games till you know what the bug situation is like and even then giving it second thoughts.
