Including your hard drive

I play, I have retail ARMA 2 and down for some story co-op or just missions so free players can join in.

GT 540M (2gb video)
640 hdd
4 gb ram

everything on low and i'm geting like 20 fps or less on the starting map (forgot how it's called the island one)

i5 the dual core (2 Cores/4 Threads) or quad?
I forget what intel does for naming schemes on laptops.

But yeah hard drive tends to factor in alot with the amount of content your constantly drawing on screen, and A2 is not well optimized in the first place.
If your on a 5400rpm drive that is what may be bottlenecking you for A2

I used to be a member of TAW in Arma 2, though I was honorably discharged for not being able to attend enough practices due to work.

I still play every other night or so on either the 7thCavalry or TAW servers, using the name Lynx.
