Something with a nice story or/and great gameplay, probably something newer too so I can test out my graphic card (I have been playing on 6 years old laptop till last month, so there you go why I want to enjoy some shinier graphics).

Not necessarily, but you can. If start going deep you have to read the books and stories the game was based on
