I have already asked in my introduction post, and got answer from only one person: Cabulb.

Although I am thankful, I would like to ask for others´ opinion on:
How many people it takes to fly each ship-class?

I could really use more data to make some estimated table so that not only me, but also others could use it for making their RP stories more believable.

Also, DEV opinion is highly welcome!

Cabulb´s numbers:

Thanks in advance,

Well.

Freighters, around 10-20 people,
Gunboats like 15 at max.
Liners: 50+, i agree with that.
Cruisers: 90-100 imo
Battleships: 150-200

Thats my take on it.

I'd say it's more like 300+

Fighters: 1.

Bombers: 1-3. (Look closely at the cockpit of the bomber while in space to see the crew.)

Freighters: 1-5. (@ Jeremy, a minimum of 10 is kind of wrong... vanilla freighters are implied to be all 1-man vehicles.)

Gunship: 5-10.

Gunboat: 10-20.

Transports: varies greatly depending on size. 10-50.

Liners: 50-75. Consider that the number of people on board needed to provide hospitality services is not included.

Cruisers: 50-100.

Battlecruisers: 75-150.

Battleships: 300+

Carriers: 400+

Edit: NB: For the purposes of the original question, I think it's particularly important to delineate the subclasses.

There was a sig here, once.

People have RP'd the Jinkusu with 1500 people aboard but that's as a colony ship, a carrier could have more than 300 since it includes flight crews and engineering support.

[color=#FFFFFF]Well considering 200 meters of battleship in WWII had like 1500 people on board, I imagine a 2000m of Space battleship will have an equivalent number of people.

The biggest one in WWII was the Yamato, 263meters and had a crew of 2500-2800 people

Code:
Fighters:  1 -   4  (look at the Mjolnir for example, it has 4 people clearly visible)
      Bombers:  1 -   4  (most have 2)
   Freighters:  1 -   3  (I think that's alright)
Transports:  5 -  25  (todays huge cargo ships don't have a big crew either)
Liners:       50+ (keep in mind all the personnel needed for a luxury liner etc)
     Gunboats:  5 -  40  (though I think it's probably more around 15 to 40)
Cruisers: 50 - 200  (I'm looking at ingame size here, compared to fighters.)
Battleships:      250+ (also, modern ships won't need >1000 crew anymore, they are much more automised)

I think it highly depends on your definiton of Freelancer as simulation or science fiction.

If you take Sci-Fi TV-series as example, it woult be possible to supply a battleship with a crew of <5.

I think Syrus got it fairly well.

Though, gunboats are often RP'd as one-man-shows.
