"Admirals and Captains, I bring disturbing news with this report. At 02:36 Hours this morning my vessel, the Hathor-Class Scout Ship Bubastis, received an automated signal from relay satellites in the Omicron-92 system indicating that the scheduled report from our Osiris-Class Battleship stationed in that system was not received. We proceeded into the Omicron-92 system via the jump hole near Mora Station to investigate the situation, and could raise no response from the Osiris or any patrol ships in the system. The relay satellites themselves had no helpful information in their databases."

"Upon proceeding to the derelict Nomad lair where the Osiris should have been stationed, area scans revealed wreckage and debris consistent with that of an Osiris-Class vessel. As we began to sift the wreckage for clues as to what caused the ship's destruction, an anonymous communication link was received from an an encrypted source we could not triangulate. The individual sending the transmission identified himself as "Lucifer Morningstar" and claimed responsibility for the events which lead to the Osiris' downfall."

"Upon recovery of the Osiris' blackbox, we bore witness to the events that had happened only hours earlier..."







...Audo/Video Playback Begins...

(The crew and Captain are on the bridge going about normal late-hour operations)

Communications Officer: "Captain, I'm getting static interference over comm frequencies..."

Captain: "Probably just ion interference, dont worry about it."

(The Captain directs the bridge sensor officer to look into the readings)

Sensor Officer: "Getting some anomalous energy readings, similar to partially formed or unstable jumpholes we've seen in the past, also getting what appear to be Nomad emissions, but they arent coming from the lair. Sensors arent picking up any vessels or entities in range..."

(The bridge shakes violently and without warning as a black nebula-like cloud spontaneously appears directly ahead of the ship's bow. A flash of light from within the cloud sparks, outlining the silhouette of an Osiris-Class Battleship within it)

Sensor Officer: "Is that... an Osiris?"

Captain: "Hailing frequences, I want to know who's commanding that ship!"

Communications Officer: "Communications are being jammed captain, I cant transmit anything!"

(The silhouetted Osiris moves out of the cloud as it dissipates, strange black markings trace along the vessel's hull like tattoos and the name "Anubis" can be clearly read along the prow)

Captain: "Bring weapons and shields online, fire at will!"

(Before the Osiris can charge weapons, the "Anubis" has already opened fire, tearing through the front of the ship. The last images before the recording cuts off show the nose of the Osiris breaking off, venting atmosphere, flames, and crewmen into space)

"The voice identifying itself as "Lucifer Morningstar" went on to claim being associated with Black Squadron and "The Original Order", and threatened that if our defenses were to falter he would demonstrate again how the "Real Order" act, in his words "As wolves do". Following this, I set course back for Omicron 100, and routed available vessels to block off both exits from Omicron 92 into Minor and 100 until further notice."

"This is a matter beyond the Science Division's scope, but I would like to request any information on this Lucifer Morningstar or the Battleship Anubis that may be available."

Staite, it's him.

The Anubis dissappeared years ago...along with Christopher Dangen. It would be just like him to rename himself. The Anunis is probably renamed. The Anubis is the only Osiris to be stolen. Its the only one we can never locate.

What worried me...is the fact that he had opened fire without prior provacation...unless the Order pissed him off beforehand...

Guess the bastard's decided to resurface.

If we had a Defcon System, I'd set it past Defcon 5, about two notches above Golanski's "Defcon Hunter". At least.
