New to the server I think. Flying a BH cruiser. Was hanging around NY today for an hour. Nothing but ooc in system chat. Trying to duel with Liberty Navy ID cruiser. Talking about weapons and what ships are good and weapons loadouts.
Then a Junker Armory comes on and he asks if he will trade some gear with him.
Shortly thereafter he opens fire on it and almost blows it up. An armoury. No valid rp reason that I could see.
Hope he gets on the forums and checks out the rp on the server.
This is just a message so some of the more exp players if they see him can help guide him into playing here.
i have also encountered Bobi and think he could become a good person on the server but definantly needs some guidance.
i was hunting a Phantom in Bretonia so when i jumped into the Leeds system and said "i am reading a Phantom within the system, does anyone need assistance?" and he replied with "you leave him alone or taste IMG weapons!" but two seconds later when i said "i am IMG!" he stepped down and asked why i was hunting the Phantom and after i explained what they are he did start helping to look for him/her but only for a short while because the Phantom got away
Has anyone even asked the guy if he's on the forums? Its really worth just trying to inetgrate people into the community, a lot of people will be flying aruond with their Bowex tags order ID's and Outcast dessies untill yuo tell them that its just stupid. If you just go and wordlessly file a sanction report then you are just being an ******* about it... Kindly point them in the right direction.
A lot of people like this could become a worthwhile member of our community and learn to love the RP as much as we do...
I spent about an hour yesterday teaching some guy the basics of roleplay, like... research you faction, don't say "lol", etc... and he really appreciated it... A few days later he had a new completely RP char and had got himself onto the forums... sure he was still a bit shakey, but I felt I had domne my bit fopr the community.
What I am really trying to get at here is perhaps you shouldn't have named him on the forums. It's only gunna make him feel stupid and crappy if he reads it, and change everyone elses judgement of him in game.
encountered him on Clover today - well, he did not manage to take down my Griffin and ensured his trader ( which he protected ) aswell as another one i was currently pirating to escape. - pure charity this man.
allthough i don t think he was payed enough to operate a BC as an escort from that trader, he played within the rules and sort of did nothing much ooRP, i gotto say. so - i was a bit put down by a battlecruiser as an escort, but such is the game.... other than that, he was doing OK.
Jinx he was escorting my Trader char and i can assure you that he did nothing in terms of OORP
i seem too recall us haveing a rather In character banter over the comms trying too piss each other off :D
Also my Trader char is a charitable guy and it was me who ordered him too defend Chief and i gave him a bonus too his pay for doing it.
If you want too know he was told before takeing on the job that it wasnt a high pay job and that he would only get 1 mill total + a bonus of another 500k. Yes its an extremly low pay for a medium risk trip
If my little trip with Bobi has pissed anyone off i am sorry but i did it too get people off their ass and stop sitting around NY doing nothing but OORP.
like i said, nothing out of the ordinary. and as i said, he did OK. - i don t have a problem with it much, - but i ve been thinking about switching my ship again. - i just don t like how the griffin flys. its supposed to be agile and fast, but somehow it doesn t seem to be like it. the battlecruiser scored a little too many hits - and he did not seem to aim too well - strange, i find it easier to dodge in a BHG bomber, than i do in a griffin.
after our little brawl, two BPA in hussars were flying circles around me - and i thought hussars were less agile, cause the griffin is a much bigger target. - but about the battlecruiser... nah, such things don t bother me much. you guys just ruined me one trader:laugh:. - but i am sure i ll get chief another day, haha.
