Yo, free people of Sirius.
Do lads&guys in Coronado have a security around Barrier Gate or is it a pirates nest? Will you intervene if any stealing/attacking is happening? Just in case you have high radiation stuff and such. You don't want to exchange that around a station while get shooted at. I'm sure the owner don't want it either.

Look kid. I'm all the bloody protection I need, these two fists and this fine ship and its guns. And I'm pretty sure every other bloke who'd call himself a "Freelancer" thinks the same way. We don't need some security services breathing down our neck while we conduct business.

You should talk to Tinsley about that, he's the big guy upstairs, but I don't think his answer will be any different, he chooses his own men.

You actually have ears...that's good to hear. Seriously, i think you don't know what exactly i mean with 'serious danger to the station'. Let's see...you transporting a pretty mess in your cargo hold and some pirates offer you a 'private place to talk in business'. You have a couple of options: You hand over the cargo - no pirate with some brain would want such cargo (if they would they mostly can't handle the following 'taking care of' part); you deny to pay (you don't want to or you just have not enough money); you fight. In the last two ways you risk the lives of the people on the station. Believe me; we have weapons onboard, but you just seem like a guy who loves to shoot on smoke. I don't think an epidemic cloud of toxic waste will getting stopped by your almighty bullets.
I'm worried for the lives there. We have the technology and installations which helps us survive in such situations. But hey, i'm just a naive little girl who has no idea how to handle 'freelancing' affairs.
And i think freelancers need more security than anyone else...

Chick, I don'€™t know what universe you'€™ve been living in but your weak link is you'€™re in Sirius.
The guys I'€™m with get insulted by every pirate, illegal trade ship, Merc and pirate you can imagine, all because we'€™re the '€˜good'€™ Freelancers..
If you get Freelancers with morals and integrity, or hell, standards, you get the other 98% of the Freelancers telling those freelancers they are giving them a bad name.
It'€™s screwed up logic but Barrier Gate is between Cortez and Baffin and in the middle of a gas cloud with no police for systems.
It'€™s a pirate'€™s paradise.
Perhaps they are angered by your hair. It looks like angry hair to me.
You want to be more secure, go find a police officer and hug him.

Bottom line is, in OUR line of work, as '€˜good'€™ Freelancers when WE see any other Freelancer, well chances are they are a pirate or one in training.
It sucks.
But, it'€™s like the Sol system.
It blew up.
Get over it.

Oh and the second we invite any police or security force to Barrier Gate, well.
We are not going to be free much longer are we? Trading a bit of that freedom for stability? Not a commodity I want to sell, do you?

Maybe it'€™s the meds they had me on here after getting blown away at Freeport On my way to Barrier but I do think you actually spent the time and effort to take a communication, Ms purple hair had to ask about security of Barrier gate, to actually personally attack me while trying to sound all philosophical and sageish.

I expressed the frustration Ms Purple hair had to an issue I laugh at all the time.
Any Freelance that actually stands up for something is marked a traitor, or some crap like that.

And you Ms. Angry Purple hair, what are you smoking? You'€™re only proving what I just said, and you'€™re both missing the point. I never said lay down and die. As DC pointed out, I'€™m with a bunch of Freelancers in Rheinland actually trying to do some good. Kissing up, dear God buddy are you even listening to yourself? You know who hates us? Freelancers who think any level of law and structure is a crime and we'€™re just cogs in the wheel. So you know what happens when I start taking fire from a Pirate Freelancer? More Pirate Freelancers who see me as a spot on the hull. But, I keep on doing it because I get to meet more delightful people as yourselves.

So you can make googly eyes to DC and DC can pretend he knows what I'€™m saying when I just kina said what he said only he'€™s using me as a lightning rod.

I'€™ll be hanging around Barrier Gate when my fighter is fixed from getting blown away by a big bad Reaver who hunts me down because I choose to make a stand. That'€™s the price a Freelancer pays when then hop off the damn fence and take a side.

Wow, there's an awful lot of bitterness in there, and I do believe I hear regret in there somewhere.

If your not regretting the choices you've made, then you sure project it a whole lot better then a spotlight on top a police building. And you'd also be lyin' to yourself - we all got regrets.

And man, I got bounties too. Probably bigger then yours - we can compare them and see which ones bigger, because were both manly men. And I'm sure we both earned them too.

As for all that complaining about getting shot at - you obviously dont like being shot at - maybe you choose the wrong path in life, Jake. I may regret being a pirate, and I may be out to change my life for the better, make up for all the blood on my hands, try and help folks - but dude, I never complained about being in the bullseye - being shot at comes with the territory.

As for taking a side? Whose to judge which side is any more valid then the rest? Whose to say your own side is any more a worthy cause then the trigger happy military, or the cutthroat criminals?

Nah man, I can feel the negative wave your dishing out - its clear as day. I know your alone out there buddy, and I know your scared, and I know the job you took sucks sometimes, may a lot of the time.
