Why, hello there, audio diary. I'm Reginald Lewis, current ensign...err..Junior lieutenant of the Navy Primary. I'll get to that in a bit. But the thing is, I lost my old diary somewhere, and since recording my own thoughts is so useful for working them out later....here's the new one.

Alright then, here's the deal. Sergeant Mcalister, came up to me in a rather friendly fashion, and quite breezily told me....You've been promoted, Lewis. Admiral's Orders.

And then he left. Now that was a surprise, usually he's the harbinger of all news bad, such as extra duty...or worse, toilet duty. But I am not complaining now, heh.

Junior Lt...hmm. I've been promoted, demoted and transferred enough to not get all worked up over it. It's just a sign of more trust, and more responsibility. Well, I'll do my best as I've always tried. Met the other Ensigns in the lounge during off-hours. Turns out, most of them recieved the same promotion. Looks like we're a good batch. They're an odd bunch, to be sure.

There's James...James Colibrie. Good guy to have at my back, and we've ran the Hamburg gauntlet enough to trust each other. Kind of stiff-necked, but he'll loosen up in time.

And there's Aleesha Cooper. Kind of a mini-celebrity among the navy ranks. A good enough pilot, I guess, but otherwise I'm not too impressed.

Ivanovich is the wierd guy that every outfit needs. Cranky, temperamental, and downright strange at times.

And there was Nat Cahoone. Heard she got promoted to Lt. Good for her, although she seems to have problems. Serious ones. I didn't exactly go out of my way to ask, however. People are entitled to their own problems, and to keep them or share them.

So that about wraps it up for now. Hopefully I'll be recording more as I see it.

Here I am again. The Navy primary is agitated like a hornet's nest right now, pilots and officers running at top speed on the Mississippi. After a short patrol I got posted on the Norfolk, same thing. It's like an anthill stirred up.

I've personally been ordered to the Westfalen, along with a lot of other pilots, or so I discovered. Even heard that the Anchorage is going to preside. A few pilots are going another way however, to New Hampshire. I don't know what High command has planned exactly...but it seems like the traditional two-pronged assault. And considering all the buzz...they're looking to end the war decisively.

Can't say I'd be averse to a little bit of peace, this war has taken it's toll on everyone, and Rhienland has been very inhospitable since we took the Westfalen...that's putting it mildly. But we must win this on our own terms, too much blood price has been paid for it all go to in vain.

Here's to wishing for a victory for Liberty.

Well, flying with Defmir is always a fun experience. Did the sarcasm get across? Seems so. Anyways, New york is a crazy place. Nomads, today. Some spindly blue little thing kept floating in and out of our sensors, being annoying and forcing us to drop patrols to chase after it. Was finally demolished by a capital ship.

In other news, the junior hale showed up. Haven't flown with her before, but she had curious news. A lot of it. Most of it concerning the terrorist organization known as The Order, and how they and other assorted elements are evacuating from...something. If the terrorists are running from something, it can't be good. I voiced that aloud, and Defmir seemed to hear. But this is something I have to see for myself.

I've put in a word with Hale to meet up when next on shift. We'll try to find out more. Strictly off the record of course. Although if Defmir finds out, I'll be facing the music. What's life without a few risks, however?

Huh, that was a few hectic weeks. The 'main' attack from Texas went as planned. Never seen so many Rhienlanders before, they must have been expecting that. But they forgot the main reason for the war, seems.
We didn't.

The actual attack on Munich went without a hitch, from what I hear. Took a lot of losses though... Hoping that whatever is in that station is worth all the lives. Can't say the Rhienlanders were amused at their failure though. Their attacks have picked up a new speed, and their unlawful groups have joined in.

Couple that with pirates, Hellfire Legion, idiots with ships, and assorted junk...I can't say the Navy is looking very fancy as a job right now.

Had an unusual assignment. Took a navy convoy to Bretonia. That went fine, then I had to indulge my curiosity and jump into Leeds for a bit, find out what's going on.

Damn those Bretonians know how to dig in. Leeds was bristling with defenses. Even then, they feel things are looking bleak. If that kind of fortress can't keep the gallics out...hell. I put forward my concerns before the High Command. We need to prepare, to dig in. Gallia's made it pretty clear that Liberty's next. And they just might have the firepower to be a real problem.

On a lighter note, passed Cahoone in the mess today. Whew. She really needs a shower....

Been a while since I wrote in this. A lot of things have happened.

Firstly...Vice Admiral Defmir died, due to an illness. It's...crushingly depressing how strong a person can get and yet be taken down by the smallest of small, the virus. Her funeral was a private affair, I heard. If someone watches from above, may he have mercy on her soul.

Natalie Cahoone disappeared for a while, for reasons I do not really know. I did hear that she was undergoing some sort of counseling, and she recently got re-instated in the navy. She's as bitchy as ever. Heh, I've gotten used to it though. It's even amusing at times.

Remus...Remus Sius got shot and had some sort of operation. I haven't seen Hartman in a while....listed as MIA...

And to top it all off, I ran into some nomads. I was wishing that would never happen again....Fighting those things was a damned nightmare the first time around. Funny thing is, they did not shoot, or attempt to delve into my mind...instead asking of permission to...uh, meld with me. I declined, of course. Despite how friendly the two baby nomads may have seemed, trust is a valuable commodity these days....

When I got into a call with Patrick and shared all that, he pretty much exploded in anger. This is an argument me and my younger brother have often had....He keeps urging me to 'put down the damn letter already.'

A part of me wishes to. Seen enough, and now that the wars are picking up again, friends will start dying again...it's tempting, to just retire and sit out this war on the sidelines, cheering those who are fighting...but can I live with that?

I don't know.
