The question is... why the hell the scientists wants to create some sort of DEADLY virus and publish it? What is wrong with you, world?

I believe it would. Such publicity can attract atention of some "unwanted" organizations that would like to use the virus.

If said unwanted organizations had the capability to create horrible killer viruses they would probably have done it already.

They didn't publish plans to make nukes, yet now you have Russia, China, Pakistan, India, North Korea and probably Israel and Iran who possess them.

So this whole story to me is stupid. Best is to reveal the findings about this new virus strains because it might have been stolen already by a third party. I hate being left on the seat of ignorance.
