A rule that confuses me

So last night I was playing and saw a counsel message that flashed something to the effect of: "A person cannot be in more then 2 system owning factions at the same time."

I asked AC and he didn't really know so I'm posting here...

1) is this rule enforced anymore

2) why was it implemented

3) if the reason for it is no longer valid can it be removed?

Well that's interesting

If we interpret it as "person" being "player", than half the server needs to be fined.

Weird rule... Ah well, I actually wouldn't mind people NOT clan-spamming, where they'd be everywhere and nowhere at the same time.

It is player not character. Each character can only be in one faction, period. Each player can be in as many factions as they want, as long as no more than two of those factions own systems. What I wasnt sure about, was where the rule originated from, but I assure you it has its purpose. Or at least had its purpose.

I think the last discussion we had came up and said each account could only have 2 factions owning systems on it.

I thought the rule states 2 Chars per Account but i may be wrong.

I have 3 FAM Accounts so im fine I believe

I'd just drop that rule - it's practically justified, that some people stick to one team.
