just to be sure everything would work for me,i re-installed windows.
in my case thats vista,and that means 2 days of work.
so i whas pritty sure freelancer would work just fine,and it did look like that whas to be the case.
but in the past 2 days,i noticed docking and undocking problems.
first i whas not able to dock anywhere with my carrier,as i would just crash back to my desktop.
in that case,freelancer itself keeps running on the background.
i cant see anything,but i do see freelancer minimized at the bottom of the screen.
so thats more than 2 billion credits at risk,as i just got my armor upgrade.
so i left that thing on planet manhattan.
than the same thing happend to my fighter.
so i tryed to dock it at planet manhattan,untill i made it without the crash.
but after some time,it all started over again.
so that one is parked as well,with some pritty expensive equipment on it as well.
and last but not least,my freighter has got the same issue now.
but i must say,that i whas first able to dock on most stations and planets.
the first problem i had with my freighter,whas the cargo.
if i undocked without cargo,nothing would happen.
but with the cargo onboard,the game would crash after 30 seconds from undocking.
but now it has the same problems,as the fighter and the carrier.
and it does seem to get worse by the minute.
i know the admins are buzzy with everything,and for that reason wont look into this anytime soon.
but i do know,that i must report any issue i got.
and with everything that i own on hold,i might as well post it now.
i hope i will get some help on this situation in the future,but for now i just hope someone will read this.
atleast i know,the error is not to be found on my side of the story.

Once it crashes with any ship, restart comp/reboot. Happens to me to. If you try to get back in without a comp reboot it just keeps kicking you. After a rebbot your usually good for a little while. Try it. Also i found my Liberty dread will crash if fast dock, but is ok if you go through the slow old fashion cinimatic dock that takes 5 minutes.
yes indeed,i do get kicked allot once i try to login after the crash.
so i will just follow your instructions,and see what happends.
freelancer does crash less with the cinimatic dock,but it does happen.
with the carrier its an real nightmare,but it wont happen to often with the other ships.
but like you said,its the speed docking being the biggest issue right now realy.
