Nasty texture/model. It's been like this forever.

Loved the series and I love the ship but it's so darn ugly right now. Are there any plans to improve it in the future? Or does someone just have a better texture? >_<

When the new mod version came out, first thing I did was run to see the new Firefly model.

And then I cried, but only on the inside.

Yeah. ._.

I tried reading one of them tutorials on how to texture... Got lost mid sentence. I really want to make it look purtier.

EDIT:

THIS thread mentions something about "Great Fox's texture" and such. Who might the Great Fox be and does he have a texture replacement? D:

Word around the campfire for forever and a day now has been that all imports will eventually be replaced w/ more freelancery replacements...So there's that to consider

Borderworlds Firefly concept: http://i391.photobucket.com/albums/oo351/k...BWFFsmaller.jpg

But I am too inexperienced modeling wise to make it, and lack any texturing knowledge...
Then again this is just an idea I had for keeping it close to the original design...

If it changes for real it will likely have no visual similarities to the Firefly class ship from the Whedon series

There's already a BW transport, and it's even about the same cargo size. If anything, I'd like to see a Junkerish or Bretonian design for a Firefly replacement (and according to the info card, Firefly is made in Bretonia).

As long as it does not get tied down to a Bretonian corporate ID I would love seeing some of their looks or design philosophy in an independent ship.

Junker styled Firefly? Now that sounds about right. I'd love to something of the kind.
