All of a sudden, at least on one of my characters, hostile Bounty Hunter NPCs are making the locality go red when they appear. When and why did this start happening?
It's not just the b-hunters That sort of thing will pretty much happen anywhere w/ other NPC's
If a player has an npc in sight that is in the lower side of neutral on their rep sheet & an NPC wanders by that is in the red to the player, the low neuts will go red
B-Hunter NPC's normally don't make lawful forces red to you.
I had a character with BHG only red to me. Rest was in the minus neutral mostly.
Never had everything turned red because of a few hunters.
BHG NPC's are friendly yes but not important enough to be assisted by the Police/Navy and what not against 'their own' enemy.
However corporations do make their allies red to you, if they are already your enemies. Try checking that out.

This was the case for me in .85
Didn't really check the char much on .86
Your character a pirate by any chance? Annoyed anyone enough to get FR5'd?
Wide awake in a world that sleeps, enduring thoughts, enduring scenes. The knowledge of what is yet to come.
From a time when all seems lost, from a dead man to a world, without restraint, unafraid and free.
Mostly retired Discovery member. May still visit from time to time.
The only NPC faction that is hostile in Liberty which I would encounter is BHG, all others are neutral. If I un-dock from Manhattan and there's a hunter there, I'm getting dock-raped. There is no FR5 involved because that would only be done by LPI or LN and they are both neutral.
