I'm here today to announce a new Discovery 4.86 server titled "The Exiles".
We are a Relaxed-RP server, however, if you wish to role-play, by all means role-play.

The VIP incentive list, is the ability for us to gift certain special ships for people who wish to assist in the upkeep and upgrading of the server, and in no means 'tax' people to play on our server.

This mod is free and it's based on free donation system, it's your server but the "gifts" you give them were created by other people from their free time and for free.

Giving players an incentive to keep the server up and running, laglessly is perfectly viable, and other servers I have played on have also followed the same mindset, as simple 'cash' rewards can ruin a server's economy if not handled correctly, where as other people like the idea of flying a slightly more powerful 'rare' ship, and would gladly assist us in keeping the server up for that ability.

We are not asking for money are we? No.


If people want to volunteer money to assist solely in running the server, in which is running said mod, and in turn get a gift as a simple 'thanks' for helping us to keep the server running, then so be it. As I've said, we aren't the first server to do it, it's a good way to thank people for donating, and/or as an incentive for getting people to donate.

Meh. We got a few folk in Disco 24/7 who've gotten perks for work done. The Thor MK2. The Persephone. 's long as folks don't try to twist the (partially my own) labor into something they make money off of, I'm allright with it personally. A server costs money to maintain.

I can guarantee you the donations received by players is 100% used for server & web hosting costs and upgrades. The donations under no circumstances will be used for personal gain. We understand the hard work that has gone into the making of ships, guns, etc and respect this.
