In the whole Corsair-Zoner topic of rage, Jinx made this comment:
' Wrote:if a motion was made ( a serious one ) to take away capital ships from factions that didn t have them in vanilla - i am sure the devs will answer to that. - but i also predict that its like shooting your own foot. - it won t only be "the others" who loose their ships .... it ll also be you ( you, not only new ppl - if ships are purged - they d be taken away from everyone .... being disco - everyone but SRP ppl )
I've heard others share the same sentiment that too many factions have capital ships when it doesn't make sense. Personally, I agree as well. It seems odd that some of the more desperate factions like the Corsairs are able to have capital ships when they could better invest their money in building transports for artifact smuggling or buying more food. In fact, pirates and terrorists having capital ships in general confuses me. Very few terrorist groups have large sources of income and I doubt pirates make enough money from piracy to build capital ships. I'm even confused about how lawful factions like the Order have the money to build capital ships.
Carlos Rivera: Corsair Brotherhood Pirate - Retired, shifted to Tripoli Shipyard's Research and Development engineering teams Anthony Cameron: Guild Core Bounty Hunter - Killed in Action, committed suicide after being trapped in Omicron Minor following its destruction Juan Ruiz: Outcast Ghost of Razgriz Pirate - Killed in Action, killed by the Sirius Coalition Revolutionary Army during Bretonian piracy raid Michael Winchester: Liberty Security Force Agent - Missing in Action, likely killed during Rheinland espionage mission or trapped in Rheinland Space Eric McCormick: Order Pilot - Retired, shifted to planetside training of new recruits
I say yes to all those small non vanila factions with like 1 lone system. No one system would have the resources to put out caps in numbers they all have. Some out stripping house militaries.

True dat. Last fight i had in my Liberator lasted 2 hours, and my mouse hand was about to fall off. They made Snubs to powerful with armour upgrades, and bots/bats.
Also we need to consider the wraith unleashed by stripping countless Corsair, Outcast, Order, BH,... players of their precious ships.
Just have the admins do it same as they did with barge. Those who have can keep them, but no more sales. Although that will also cause an uprour. They gave to many factions that should not be able to support caps resource wise Capships. And others that can support caps resource wise none.
I will stick to my guns, and say give all factions caps, or give none of them caps. Military is exempt as they fight house wars and have lots of resources.

It would make a lot of sence inRP, but that wouldn`t lower the amount of lolcaps flying around, it would just mean more lolns and more lolrncs camping bases from factions who wouldn`t be able to defend it efficiently.
Order Indie ships don't really reflect the Order|'s resources.
Hell, all Order| caps were grounded for 2 months (so we'll have them by thr end of February). No indie cap reflects Order| canon (althpugh one could argue some of them can be counted).
